Cincinatti or Ohio University

This is probably a more suitable place to ask this.
I am going for computer/electrical engineering but need to decide between OU and UC. I realize UC will have a better program but OU has some benefits. First of all, at OU I have a full tuition and fees scholarship and the cost is a pretty big factor for me. I am invited to and am attending the Cincinnatus scholarship competition on February 5 to see what scholarship I will receive there but it will probably only be 3500, or if I am lucky 6000.
I will be attending grad school afterwards and have heard it is much more important than undergrad. So, should I get my degree from OU paying only for books and room/board or UC and pay quite a bit more? Im 50/50 between the 2 if I get 3500 from UC but if I get 6000 from UC that would be my choice. What are your thoughts?

Choose the school you like the best and that you feel you fit into the most. I think both are on equal standing. However, I also believe that UC has a stronger computer engineering program. You may be pleasantly surprised by the results of the Cincinnatus competition; I know I was.

BTW, are you from Cincinnati?

No, I’m about 30 miles east of Columbus. I applied to OSU as well but didnt get any scholarship opportunities for some reason so I’m not going there.

If there is that big a cost difference it would be difficult for me to recommend UC. It has a good engineering program but not at that cost difference.

The cost difference is probably going to be about 7k/year. but, IBM has a location in Cincinnati and they take quite a few interns so there would be better employment opportunities there

Have you considered what you will earn as a co-op student at UC?
