So I sent in the regular application stuff (test scores, app, grades, teacher recs, etc.) before the Dec 1 deadline, but I am also applying for the Interactive Entertainment program in SCA.

I am waiting on one additional recommendation, and I am wondering how long I can wait before needing to send it in. After I submitted the regular app, it said 'please submit supplemental essays, etc, as soon as possible after Dec 1'.

How much leeway do I have? I'm assuming they won't automatically deny me after a few days, but when must I get it in by?

Thanks so much!

Wish I had better news. On the USC website, they list the application deadline for all supplemental material: [USC School of Cinematic Arts - Prospective Students How To Apply Application Procedures Important Dates](http://cinema.usc.edu/prospective/apply/procedures/dates.htm) December 1 is the deadline date.

This is taken from the USC SCA frequently asked questions: Are all SCA materials due on the deadline date or post-marked by the deadline date?
All application materials must be post-marked by the deadline date. If all requested material is not post-marked by the deadline, an applicant will no longer be guaranteed that the admission committee will review his/her file. [USC School of Cinematic Arts - Prospective Students How To Apply Frequently Asked Questions](http://cinema.usc.edu/prospective/apply/faq.htm)

As long as you have submitted all the material you are responsible for providing (that long list of essays, resume, creative sample, personal statement and everything else required for the major), they may accept a Letter of Rec a little after that date since you cannot control those. But they do not have to wait (see above).

Did you give your recommenders an addressed and stamped envelope and let them know the deadline was Dec 1?

This is the first year USC SCA is using this system to accept documents for their required supplement–and there may be some procedural complications. On another thread, a poster said he was told he could upload additional material up until Dec 7. You should phone the SCA office asap to find out if this applies to you, too. Great news if you get one more day! Good luck.
