<p>Yes.</p>
<p>FAFSA asks no questions about non-custodial parent's income, and Federal aid isn't based on the non-custodial parent's income. But any support the custodial parent receives from the non-custodial parent gets counted as income. If there's a step-parent in the picture now married to the custodial parent, that person's income will be reported and considered, also.</p>
<p>Private schools usually require a Profile supplement that does require the non-custodial parent's income, and this affects the awarding of that school's own aid.</p>
