citizen, but living abroad- bad, good, or makes no difference?

I have a dual citizenship (American and European), and have been living in Europe all my life. I want to go to college in USA. Will having lived abroad be help my chances, hurt them, or make no difference when it comes to colleged admissions?

anyone who knows?

It has the possibility of helping but I'm not sure in your case. I met a person who lived a year or two abroad and she was definately a very intelligent person, someone who always had interesting experiences to share. Basically, she didn't live in a bubble and she expanded her horizons. This is the generalization some colleges will make about kids who have lived abroad, though it has to show in your essay or elsewhere in your apps. I remember reading a really good personal statement about someone's experienced abroad.

But you said you lived abroad your whole life so I'm not sure that applies ... lol sorry if I couldn't help. If anything you might just be categorized as an international?
