So I’m majoring in CivE and I’d like to be a patent prosecutor. Is civil good enough to land a good job? My alternative option is to spend 2 to 3 years getting an EE degree part time before law school. Can anyone (preferably in patent law) answer this for me please
I’m a Mech Eng, but with no direct patent attorney experience. But last year I did talk to a Dad with son who did Mech Eng, then law school / patents. The son was doing ok, but in retrospect (for the type of work he was doing) he thought EE would have been better. That’s just a sampling of one hearsay - not general advise.
