Claremont graduate university: ms in financial engineering

Hello, are there anyone who know about this program and this college? It seems not too much ones who know about them.
Just say what you think of it. Thank you very much!

One thing to note about CGU is that it's not attached to an undergrad, which means that it's pretty small. Its resources are still quite strong given that it's part of a consortium that includes 1-2 other grad schools (officially one, with one other that's a loose affiliate) and 5 undergrads: www.claremont.edu. It's definitely no major research university, though.

I've heard good things about the programs that CGU offers...it has some specialty departments. As a CGU student, you would have access to a number of undergrad classes (I don't know if it's all, or just select...definitely worth asking, though), which would include classes at Claremont McKenna and Harvey Mudd Colleges, both of which would provide excellent supplements to a financial engineering path. I've had a few CGU students in classes and they've always represented the school well...very passionate, open-minded, and articulate.

I could use your help. Let me know what you think. Interested in Drucker School of Management. Specifically joint degree in Poli, econ, and bus.

you would be better offer contacting CGU and going to one of their weekly info sessions.

yes. You are right. I did do this. And, I like what I hear. It was very informative. I guess only time will tell. I will just do my best and see what happens.

Thanks for the thought.

The Claremont University Consortium is great with the five colleges and of course the graduate schools such as Keck and CGU. However, be advise, not all departments within the consortium is great. Notably is the CGU Teacher Education Department. Avoid it at all cost. Too expensive, “rigorous” training unlikely. No support by the Coordinator and staff. You better off signing up as a cast member for the movie Hunger Games.

You don’t need to add comment when the thread is 6 years old and the posters are long gone. This is not even the grad school forum.

Glad you read it Brownparent! Now we’re current
