Claremont McKenna neuroscience

im a prospective applicant to cmc interested in the neuro major but am concerned abt the robustness of the major at cmc. im choosing cmc bc im also interested in business/management (which ik is super strong), but also science. now I’m reconsidering my decision…why should one choose neuroscience at cmc and not another claremont? also, when writing the “why cmc” essay, how do I talk about cmc itself when the neuro major is in the keck school?? thanks.

Well, first of all, you can take neuroscience classes across the consortium from any of the 5C’s. So, you can potentially do a strong neuroscience major at any of them.

But since you’re interested in business/management, it sounds to me like what you really want is the neuroscience track of the Science Management major: Science Management - Claremont McKenna College - Acalog ACMS™

Of course, the 5C schools don’t accept by major anyway, but talking about your interest in this major might make for a more coherent story about your interest in the school.

(That said, you can also do the Science Management major from Scripps or Pitzer. The requirements vary a bit by school, and only CMC students can take CMC Econ classes.)
