Would Claremont Mckenna or Pomona college be better for someone interested in studying economics/business and who has aspirations of attending an elite graduate business school?

Claremont Mckenna is much more pre-professional, and would probably suit your interests more than Pomona. They're both great schools though.

You can't go wrong both are wonderful schools but CMC does specialize in business/economics. You can cross register so I would apply to both and spend a night on each campus. See which feels more like home. Good luck!!

thanks a lot, any other opinions?

Claremont McKenna is probably the stronger choice for economics. But you won't get a shoddy education at Pomona either. (and you can take some classes at either school through the Claremont Colleges exchange program).
