Claremont McKenna, UMich, UCLA, UVA, Northwestern...?

Hodge-podge list? I sure think so. These are some schools I don't know too much about, but from what I can tell, I think I'd like to go to. Chances?

Biography in 60 words or less: I'm an Asian female who lives in Arizona. My family is stable, I'm straight, and nothing exciting (read: depressing - for which I am thankful) has ever happened to me in my life. Besides playing jilted lover a few times - and who hasn't, in the marvelous journey of high school - I'm, well, pretty normal. (53)

GOALS/DREAMS/OTHER DISAPPOINTMENTS IN THE MAKING ;-) :
I plan to major in business/economics/something political?. Likely business. I want an international focus, but a top school is a top school.

Claremont McKenna
UMich (Ross PA?)
NYU (Stern)
UCLA
UVA
Northwestern
UChicago

Thanks! :-)

And as you can tell, I'm not too picky on location or size- I pretty much adapt to it all. My current high school has 3000 kids, which is the size of an entire undergraduate division at some colleges.

Any safeties you could recommend would be great!

tuff enough. you have your safeties. uva and ucla

thanks. anyone else?

Your stats are simular to my D---she decided NU was the best fit---out of state---strong academics---near big city-but not in big city---size of student body manageable(UCLA was just too big-but almost free ride!!!)---good recruiting program for grads---Good Luck!

bump once again. :-) thanks!

shoot for higher too...if you want.
You have some great schools picked though and i think you have a great chance at all of them.

thanks. :-) i do have a bunch of other schools, but these are just ones that I don't know much about. does anyone have an opinion on claremont mckenna?

just throwing it out there for claremont mckenna?

Claremont McKenna seems like a good fit and a good match for you considering your interests and qualifications. Tons of leadership, politics-related internships, a job, an outstanding GPA and great SAT scores. Yeah. Definitely. Good choice. Maybe apply to some more prestigious schools if you're really into prestige, but CMC sounds excellent for you (and it's relatively prestigious as is.) I'm sure you know it basically specializes in what you're interested in, etc. I think you have a very, very good chance of getting in.

Edit: and oh, I'm visiting this summer. If you want my opinion of the campus after I get back I'll totally give it to you, but I will post a (detailed) college visit report on CC anyway.

Good luck!

Okay, thanks! :-)
