Clark Scholars 2013?

Got a very curt reply from Mrs. Durham saying she is still in the process of going through the applications…this would indicate to me that there are indeed a lot of applications this year. Oh well.

@swagdaddy,
At least she replied to you, but it sounded like she didn’t confirm the receipt of all your application materials yet.

FYI - got the confirmation email this morning.
She also said “I’m probably not half way through going through the applications”. For those who have not received the confirmation yet, be patient :)

Thanks, wishhimwell, for sharing this information.

@wishhimwell, thanks for sharing! This information made me feel better, but in the mean time, I think it’s ridiculous that we are getting delayed confirmation like this. It made people feel hopeless that we are being evaluated by unorganized system. I wish they at least did an announcement on the website about the delayed confirmation. But instead they didn’t respond to people when people asked for the confirmation. It’s one month past the deadline, don’t you feel amazed? And the confirmation definitely had nothing to do with whose applications arrived earlier or later. They are all mixed together. Lets hope they didn’t lose our applications, for those who haven’t got any confirmation, good luck to you all!

You are welcome. Hope you will get the confirmation soon…
Ms. Durham seems to be a nice lady. She may be overwhelmed.

When I sent Ms. Durham an email a few months back, I got a computerized response saying that she was out of the office for a while and blah blah blah. The email also said that Ms. Durham had moved from being full time to part time. That may have an impact on how quickly she can sort the applications. It would have been nice for them to put something up on the website, but at least now we know that the process is just super slow this year.

Got confirmation email from Ms. Durham a few minutes ago. One of my teacher recommendation letters was mailed separately, I guess that’s why I got my confirmation late. She said the selection will be made mid to late April.

Dangg, I was hoping for decision earlier, much earlier…

That’s about the time the results were out a few years back. My friend got the notification after middle of April, definitely. That was very late. Anyone has the same situation as mine:

 • package arrived 4-5 days before the deadline.
 • everything in one envelope
 • hasn’t received any confirmation (even after emailing Durham and getting no response)?

Got my confirmation today…and now I wait.

Same as SwagDaddy…already want to know…

Got my email today!

Wow, looks like a bunch of people got their confirmations late… Mine basically arrived ON the deadline date and I got my confirmation about 2 weeks later…
And now, we wait.

I sent my app a week before the deadline and got the confirmation letter 3 days BEFORE the deadline. I sent everything in one envelope.
I guess they were working that day :D

Has anyone not yet received a confirmation? My son still has not received one.

I have not received a confirmation. I sent a email to Ms.Durham on March 7th and she responded within 2 hrs that she is still in the process of going through applications. As of date no confirmation yet.

I still haven’t received my confirmation email either. This is making me nervous.

I e-mailed Clark and received an e-mail back saying that they are still going through applications and not all confirmations have been sent.

The confirmations people received (or will receive) really had nothing to do with the order your application was received. I believe it does save some trouble if they receive everything in one envelope, otherwise, the confirmation email order had nothing to do with the order they received your application. I am sure about this according to the posts people have been discussing about their situations. If you still don’t receive the confirmation by the end of this month, I would suggest that you write an email to Ms. Durham again.
