The tracking number is on the envelop...and the thing is, first half of the delivery is tracked on Canada Post and the second half is on USPS, and I thought if I mentioned it, it'd be too confusing. But I did tell her when I mailed it and she can see the postmark date. thanks for your advice!

^ Wait, you're Canadian?

Yup I am...hopefully they accept internationals.

good luck everyone

yea good luck!!!!

hey guys. wow popular forum.
spent 20 minutes just trying to read as many posts as i could.
don't wanna sound like an ass but i got into the program and was wondering if anyone else got in?
you guys all sound like cool people, hope to see you all this summer!
good luck!

Hey! CONGRATS!
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/summer-programs/331017-clark-scholars-program-17.html
Please post on that thread! it's technically this years clark scholars thread...but somehow the previous one got bummed up (i'm the culprit! :p)...so we all are posting there...;)

i'd like to bump this thread.

did anyone apply this year?

^ Yep. I mailed it off yesterday. My fingers are crossed for a speedy delivery.

Did you express mail it?

I applied as well, I recieved an e-mail from Lynda Durham confirming the arrival of my application. Fellow applicants, be on the lookout for a similar email.

Yay! my app is complete. All I need now is for late april to arrive.

wow, that's 4 people from cc already! of course, i have a strong feeling that i'm going to be rejected. i don't have much of a science background but i do have good grades and a good psat score.

lol is any international applicants this year? I'm applying from Canada and hopefully I can get through the visa troubles (if I'm admitted)

I guess I'm an international. I live in the U.S. though.

What subject did everyone apply to? I was really unsure of how detailed the "research interest" part was supposed to be. I chose biochem and biology. I do have a pretty solid science background, but not an in-depth research one (surprisingly I made it to isef freshman year).

Side note: With a mirror and a flashlight, you can totally read through an envelope. And after 3 years, I just discovered that my grades are weighted (A-, A, A+)..

wow, velleity, that's really amazing. i'm sure that you'll get in and i really hope that i can too.

anyone picked chemical or electrical engineering as their area of research?

wow velleity isef in freshman year is really solid research background!

can alumni of clark scholar post their college placement? I'm very interested in knowing how much attending clark could improve college application

Thanks guys! Though I have a feeling that we are all girls.

Hey nirvanatear, if you were accepted to both SSP and Clarks, which one would you go?

haha velleity I was about to ask you the same question once I saw your name on the SSP thread!

Um...I'm really not sure. My original plan was to go to a summer program that can 1)boost my college app to tech schools and 2)allow me to conduct a research in math/physics. It now appears that SSP is more helpful for college app and clark is more helpful for original research. Advocates for each should refute me if I'm wrong~

How about you? Are you leaning toward one more than the other?

And why should we all be girls?
