......I think I actually ranked till 5 or seomthing!

Lol, I ranked till 3. My 3rd was Agronomy.

I wonder how many people actually used the electronic form.

I thought of doing it, but then I figured it's rather easier fo rme to use paper.

haha..I had to look up wat "agronomy" means...I knew it's to deal w/ agriculture..but not sure what exactly is the case w/ this.

It's a pretty broad field, focused on applications rather than theory. It involves bioengineering crops, studying soil and water quality, and the usage of pesticides/fertilizers, among others.

Well, now comes the 1-2 month wait.

if it rank so many you would have to write a lot more explaining why you ranked each one the way u did

yea..I guess that's true...but since my first three r soo related..:D that's why I just went ahead and explained a bit more..it also helps to show more of me to them...I guess...but anyway, i don't care of it right now...I got crapload more to apply to.......so..yea...I wudn't be depressed if I can't get into it.

I just tracked my application, it's still not delivered even though I sent it on express(1-2 business days) last monday!!! What should I do? Will they not take my application into consideration because it's passed the deadline?

^ Call USPS stat. It's their fault, and they should refund your money since express shipping is guaranteed. Also contact Ms. Durham and explain the situation!

yea...they shud refund ur money...but i'm pretty sure ur more concerned that whether ms.durham wud accept it..so, go ahead and show her the tracking number or anything explaining the situation.

Hmm... I never got a confirmation email. Should I be worried?

I didn't get an email either...

idk..u shud...they sent me an email at my mom's email address...so, yea..it was kinda wierd.

I think a lot of mail gets lost going there. One of my recommendation letters was even lost, and it was a really good one. Try to always track packages, and in doubt, contact Ms. Durham.

But yeah, if they've received it, they should be contacting you unless there's a huge flux.

Funny thing- I just got the email an hour ago... but it said that my application arrived late. I thought that domestic mail wouldn't take more than 3 days or so... but apparently it can take a lot longer to arrive there.

Well how do you define 3 days? Do you include the day you sent it? USPS has a pretty nice calculator to predict when a package/mail will arrive where.

I didn't include the day I sent it... and I'm from the fringes of a big metropolitan area where mail is usually really fast.. I assumed I wouldn't need to worry about it.. I think I'm still being taken under consideration though..

Oh, exact same thing happened to me, classof09. I sent it on Wednesday, and I live right here in Texas, so I was surprised.

Thanks Marimare and Innovative.

Yes. I am getting a refund, which is good, because I am applying from Canada, so the postage for express mail is $15. :S

I got that confirmation letter saying although it's received, it's not on time. I emailed Ms.Durham back about my situation...hopefully she'll understand.

good luck everyone!

^ Hehe, I paid $16 to mail one rec letter...and I'm in the U.S. >>> Actually, I didn't. My dad did. He was heavily persuaded by the attendants. Lol, <3.

You should give her your tracking number to be more persuasive ^^
