No…hope my S gets a dorm room. He has a roommate and both signed up for special interest housing. The Email Emory Housing sent out said not everyone may be assigned today! Good luck Seician. Let me know what dorm you are in! Do you have a roommate?

My son’s room assignment was just posted. Hamilton Holmes it is!

S is in Mctyeire. Glad he is near the DUC, so he will go and eat! Seician, great your S got Hamilton Holmes!

D got Hamilton Holmes as well. Anyone know the set up for these rooms? My daughter’s assignment indicated her roommate and then 2 other suite mates in the “B” room. Is there a common space or bathroom that separates the 2 suites? I don’t think it is a bathroom since it seems like those are down the hall or am I mistaken?

If it is like Longstreet, on some floors, the students in suites will get bathrooms that separate each dorm from one another.

My son’s assignment just had one roommate listed in bed 2. So I guess he is in a regular double room. I think he is on the fifth floor.

My daughter was placed in Hamilton Homes. Do you think it is safe to assume that the rooms are the same size and shape as the other newer dorms? Emory doesn’t have anything posted except a picture of the outside. It looks nice but doesn’t really tell me what we want to know. :)

I think the rooms are almost identical to Longstreet Means since the outside design looks the same. I am not quite clear exactly where our kid’s dorm is though, since most of the campus maps are old. I was wondering if there were two cable tv lines in the room (one for each student to have a TV)? Also, I read somewhere that they can only have one refridgerator per room, can anyone confirm this? Does anyone know if the room numbers correspond to the floor (ex room 210 is on the second floor etc) AND if the building has elevators?

Looks like Emory posted a floor plan now for Hamilton Homes. It answers a lot of questions regarding elevators, room numbers, etc.
