<p>Well, I was really excited about the Stanford band, because they are a scatter band (They have no formail formations, charge on the field like a big mob and then make funny formations once in a while). I think even Harvard is a scatter band...or has a sub band that does that. But Cal band has 10 tubas last time I checked and that sounds pretty cool. Anybody know more about the sub bands that Cal has?</p>
<p>I didn't say anything bad about there being alot of Republicans. But, since you mentioned it, Republicans might be taking over the world (quite literally!), but they are NOT taking over Cal. I have no problem with people having a different outlook than myself, I actually welcome it, but it seems like the right-wingers at Cal know that they are such a minority that they feel the need to have a huge chip on their shoulder the whole time they're here, which seems to be a waste of time to me. Anyway, democrats and republicans, enjoy Cal Day and enjoy your time at UC Berkeley.</p>

<p>You should all get together some weekend on or off campus for brunch or something, just to meet each other and socialize, but maintain your mystique. No names or nametags, just conversation. For fun, see if you can figure out each other, but don't actually reveal your alias or real name.</p>
<p>As an icebreaker, choose some popular CC topics and place them is a bowl. Select one and start a conversation. Or just share war stories of freshman orientation, the first 30 days at Cal, or any other philosophical topic that will stimulate conversation. Keep it fun and light, non-alcoholic...and anonymous.</p>
