class of 2010- who's attending?

lol "nah dipset"-who do you think you are? if you really would like to discuss the "information" bout NO/Tulane id be happy to expose you for the chump that you are... if not dude please shutup and hop off

im going to be in tulane's class of 2010 in the fall. im from the northeast, long island, ny. im not worried about any sort of these problems people are talking about, people need to stop being so silly with their crazy questions or worries about the school, talk to any current student, and im sure they will assuage your worries.

if anyone's from the northeast in '10 or anyone who wants to talk tulane IM me on AIM: "z4stringaxe" or email: "z4stringaxe@aol.com"

Honestly, this was my first choice pre-Katrina and a hurricane hasn't changed my mind. Hopeful, have you actually visited the campus? I was there over the weekend, it is beautiful and all of the students I hung out with were very nice and were so happy to be back. I hope you don't care about USNews enough to let it dictate your college career..

Dipset,
You are one bitter person. Why be so defensive? Other opinions that deviate from yours sometimes do not warrant a reply, whether it be hopeful1 or others. Your arrogance and hostility were probably evident in your other unsuccessful application essays (Richmond, UCSD, etc...). Fortunately for you, Tulane did not require an essay.

Be happy with your choice and it would be nice to respect the opinions of others. I applied but withdrew my application for an option that for me was a better school and I wasn't willing to take the risks that I perceived in NO.

You chose Tulane. Other did not. Accept it, Good luck and adios

Oh, about housing, if you go to the accepted student website you can do all of that stuff online.

btw that "shout out" was only out towards the bashers-I obviously have nothing againist kids who (through a deliberate/informed investigation) choose to go somewhere else,

.... try reading my post man

i mean im honored that youd spend your free time to check where I applied (lol get a life) the initial statement was more of a joke (I thought most of yall would catch on- I mean cmon, I ended the post w/ "AYT") but at the same time it is annoying to constantly here people putting a negative spin on Tulane (I posted a more serious expression of my feelings in another forum "Concerns bout Tulane")... my following post was in response to "hopeful" claiming I was in denial, but I clearly stated (if youd only read lawyer-you should prolly work on that-usually pretty helpful if you are planning on going into the legal profession) that my jab was only aimed at the cynics, not all students who made other choices for college

hear....

in no way am I "bitter"-unless bitter means sick and tired of listening to kids going to other schools coming on Tulane's forum and blasting the school... these forums are for kids who have legitimate questions about the school, not for clowns like "hopeful" to come in and degrade it... if someone has a different/dissenting opinion about the situation at Tulane, thats cool-I hold nothing againist you... but dont come on Tulanes forum and insult me w/ your ignorance and stupidity-I would think with all the good schools that kids like hopeful (Im assuming your smart based on your smug/elitist tone) are getting into, that youd have something better to do than try to ruin the excitement/anticpation of kids heading to or at Tulane

and thanks for the "low blow" on the application essays lawyer... im crushed... lolol... it sure hurts coming from someone who struggles to read

also I have to apologize to hopeful-you are only one of many posters that I have seen go on Tulanes forums and attempt to put a dark cloud over Tulane...I just can't understand the motive-what are you trying to prove? again, I think its great that you have found a place that better suits you for college, but why would you come and try to make someone else feel bad/regret their own decision? in a way lawyer, you are right: I am defensive. this is the place that my family and I have decided will be the best fit for me, and Im very proud to join the class of 2010 at Tulane. im sure if I were to go onto your respective schools forum and post crap about it that I would receive a similar response as to what I dished out (altho maybe w/out the dipset humor AYT)... maybe before you try to insult me lawyer (btw I can almost definetly assure you it was my grades, not my essays, that lead to my WL/Rej decisions) you should step back and see it from the POV of someone going to Tulane

I will be attending next year! See everyone else there.

dipset, you're awesome. I'm buying you a drink when you get down here next year :)

I'm deciding between Tulane & George Washington, though I'm leaning towards GW at the moment.

Fantosme why not Tulane?

I'm in the same situation fantosme, i'm leaning GW and trying to get my NROTC scholarship transferred to GW from Tulane, but if it can't be done, I think i'll still be happy in New Orleans.

I'll be there! I'm coming from Houston, Texas

If you're coming from Houston as your hometown, I'll bet you have QUITE a welcome in store for you!

Haha, I was about to say that; it seems like everyone here is from Boston, Long Island, or Houston.

I'm from Michigan, and I am currently making the choice between Tulane and University of Mich. I went and visited Tulane, and I really liked the atmosphere around the campus and the city. Right now I am leaning towards Tulane, so I hope to see everybody there in the fall.
