<p>Count me in, and I'm not from Long island or houston. from kentucky. i've just eliminated GW, primarily because i refuse to pay 52K a year for undegrad. i try to be as idealistic as possible, but a school that expensive just shatters my idealism. anyways, tulane is known to be a better school, plus it will only be around 20K a year---these next four years should be really interesting</p>
<p>Can't wait to see you guys there then! You'll really love the school and the atmosphere. I've lived near New Orleans all my life but Tulane still seems like a world apart. Tulane usually goes out of their way to make the school a special place (unless you're an engineer like me). Good luck!</p>

<p>I will not be able to finish my engineering degree, but, due to my financial dependency on the scholarships I'm getting from Tulane, I can't really leave.</p>

<p>Same here, kraemer. But if it's an engineer you want to be, perhaps you'll be able to get similar scholarships at another school. My son is completing the interview process at his new school. Hopefully, they'll be able to take the sting out of the financial end of his transfer. There are some schools with substantial endowments that are looking to expand engineering and technology degrees. That is the case with S's new school. Whether it will come close to the 1/2 tuition he was getting at Tulane, I don't know. But anything is better than nothing. I also have the luxury of knowing that he only has two years left for undergrad. I am thinking that you are a freshman. It definitely puts a different blush on the picture.</p>
<p>If on the other hand, engineering was an iffy direction for you, perhaps you'll find that perfect major that just feels right. </p>

<p>but then again these are myspace people......i hope that they do realize that if they go greek they won't be able to have pics with them and booze----all national frats/sorority have bylaws about this - guess they have to keep up the well earned facade ;)</p>

<p>you don't have to start a serious account...just give them your e-mail, make up a password, and that's it---you actually don't have to create your own myspace you can bypass that stuff....you actually don't even need an account to look at the discussion and stuff i think ---you just can't participate</p>

<p>I wanted Wall but figured paterson would be easier to get into, so I chose paterson (I wasn't impressed with any of the other dorms for freshmen) and the whole "substance free" thing doesn't bother me (why stay in to drink?)--I really hope I get a single though (probably won't happen...)</p>
