Is anyone going for sure next fall - or are you still in the undecided column? My west coast D is still debating - now down to St. Olaf and one other. Are there any St.Olaf class of 2010 people out there? Who are you and what cinched it as your choice?

I am not sure whether or not I will be attending St. Olaf. My other choice is Colorado College. Yet, in terms of campus attractiveness and friendliness, I have to say that St. Olaf was stunning. I loved the ruralness of the campus in contrast to the immaculate buildings. Living in Wyoming is kind of a mixed blessing - I live on the plains yet I'm near the mountains. Minnesota, however, is all prairie. (I'm not saying that's particularly a bad thing.)

I found St. Olaf students and staff very welcoming. My admissions counselor was especially friendly when I came to the campus last week for open house. The academics are quite rigorous at St Olaf - my student host stressed that there is alot of reading assigned in classes. Yet, she assured me that it's manageable if you use your time wisely. But I found that if you keep good relations with your peers and profs, you will be fine. Since St Olaf is an exceptionally friendly place, (because of the Norweigan Lutherans - I am one of them...haha) befriending others will not be a problem.

One of the only reasons why I am still debating on going to St Olaf is that Colorado College is closer to home and has a unique block program. (Perhaps you've heard of it?) Besides that, I find that I'm more attracted to St. Olaf.
