So how is everyone doing on apps and such? The deadline is looming--only a little more than a month! I'm pumped though, because we can say we were the last Princeton ED applicants ever! :p

Princeton app--it's not all that much different from the common app and I found that it was easier to deal with. Dunno though. Also, that way they get everything they want.

I am using common app, because I want to streamline the process if I get deferred or rejected and need to submit other applications. I'm planning on filling everything out and getting the applications ready to throw in the mail if I don't get in. I don't want to submit them and lose all that money if I do get in early.

Are you guys doing something similar, or am I just overthinking this whole process?

I'm doing the princeton app, but i'm using the same 500 word essay (on a quote of my choice) for my common app essay, too, under the "any topic" category. It just seems easier this way without all those 50 supplement documents.

do the adcom discriminate against those whose choose" a topic of their own" on the common app? similarly, if i shose my own favorite quote for the supplementary essay, will they consider it as a sign of imcompetence, since i cant write about the topic they give?
