<p>I am about 30 miles from Evanston, home of NMSC, so am hoping for the letter tomorrow (school has not notified yet, but they took FOREVER for the NMSFs announcement.) Will let you know when this Chicago area (direct to the student) notification arrives.</p>
<p>Good news in Iowa today. DD is excited! It’s amazing what this designation means in terms of financial assistance at some colleges. It will allow DD to attend college OOS which has always been her dream and I’m not sure that we could have afforded that without the NMF merit scholarships. Thank you NM Scholarship Corporation!</p>

<p>No word yet in Ohio (public h.s.). Emailed g.c., and haven’t heard back from her, no word to kid (or the second potential NMS at school)…guess we’ll just wait to see when the letter arrives at home (sigh). Kiddo has been doing scholarship interviews and college auditions this week…would be nice if they would share the “official” status so she could as well!</p>

<p>Update – the two semifnalists from our school made NMF – how did they find out? In the general announcements, made on the p.a. system this morning…AFTER the announcement about the j.v. basketball game today… Guess it’s not that big a deal to her school…</p>
<p>I see. Did they send out the notification in Jan to the students who did not make it to the Finalist list or everyone will find out this week?</p>
<p>We just got the news from our private high school in Kentucky.</p>
<p>Finally just got a mail from our private school about our son’s Finalist status. They will announce it in the NEXT join advisory… He has to wait another week to get some recognization from school. …</p>
