I'm white, and I asked for aid, what was I thinking?

What does that mean? I'm white and requested aid, even though my family knows we won't get any, we just did so because my counselor tells everyone at my school to file for aid. How would being relatively wealthy hurt your chances? Wouldn't they not feel obliged to give aid then ?

Haha, arbiter I know. Just not an apocalyse like that, that is pictured in the book of Revoulations, with the 3-headed dragons and stuff. If this is so, I fulled exspect the Hilary Clinton to reveal her self as the anti-Christ, for the earth to rain fire, and for giant horseman-type things to surround the White House..

For the record, so far CC is 6 and 1, with the acceptences and rejections. And the average SAT score of those who are rejected (I am just using M/V is a 1406).

(It in my secret hope, that Gtown is looking for "special" over amazing SATs this year. Since some people who got rejected are insane, in the GPA, RANK, and SAT catagory. But over all, it's just random)

btw, i'm not sure who was asking about california, but we didn't get any letters today...

grr, sorry to everyone who got rejected... i expect to soon join your ranks. (just got rejected from yale and johns hopkins as well... i hate college admissions!)

but, despite all that... we should remember that we ALWAYS have options in life... i mean, if this is truly your dream, take a gap year and work on your resume, or transfer, or go to community college to better your grades... whatever. it's really hard to believe (trust me, i'm bummed too and it's not what i want to hear), but in the end, we'll end up where we're supposed to be.

okay, i'm done being stupid and moralizing. i just wanted to remind everyone that we're still amazing people with amazing lives ahead of us.

For all of you out there getting rejections from Georgetown, may I remind you that in the letter my D got when deferred EA they stated only approx 10% of RD applicants get in. That is just one acceptance for every nine rejections. That is why it is so important to have match schools and safeties...remember, please, the sun does not rise and set on Georgetown alone, or for that matter the Ivies, the top tier LACS, etc. Do not take this personally. Consider it Georgetown's loss and move on to a place where they are thrilled to have you as a student.

Really? Because most stats I've seen give a solid 23% for both rounds of admission. Are you sure it wasn't 10% for deferees? Because that's closer to what I've heard.

i am really waiting for a rejection letter, but i really don't want to get in. i much rather that someone who actually wants a spot get it. i've seen too many kids not get into schools already because other kids at my school got in but have no intentions of attending.
good luck!
