Another query for people who applied to UNO
Does UNO accept fee waiver? If not what is the process of payment if you don’t have a credit card? How do you do it??
(I hope anyone else could answer my second question)

Sorry, nissud, but UNO doesn;t accept the fee waiver of any kind. You must pay the $40 appication fee for your application to be reviewed.

If you don’t have a credit card, you can pay the money through a money draft. Go to a bank (preferably Machhapuchhre Bank coz the service charge is the minimum), then ask for wat to do in the ‘Remittance’ section. Don’t forget to take a photocopy of your passport and official documents (you can take the certification of finance for appl fee and housing form for housing fee. U must take a document beacuse they need proof for what the fee will be used)

i)what do you fill in postsecondary education recieved::is it since grade 10 or what?
This is the result of +2 or equivalent. Remember, Bachelors and Masters are only considered degrees, not +2. So, leave a blank if degree is asked.

ii)Isn’t the august session summer 2008 session?
No, August session is the Fall session.

iii)Do you require teacher/gc reco for uno?
No, but send them if you have. Don’t bother much about it.

Do any of you know how many Nepalese students have been offered admission from Ivy League Schools or top schools in the US?

Yeah, there’ll be alot of Nepali student going to UNO this fall. the number will reach around 50, if not over it.

@cornell_inthelab, this year??? for this year’s result from CC users see previous pages, probably 163-165

Mr. Skunk, you told that Bishal Lamichhane from SXc got into Grinnell. It’s all fake. I met him yesterday, he told me that he did not get into any college so he is going to India to study Engineering.

@ manasm

I was wondering about the same thing, I didn’t think that Bishal had got into Grinnell … so who got the scholarship then ??

Not me ! :P

May be its time we should talk about the visa stuffs in cc.. ok i will come up with the first question..

Is Relationship certificate (Nata Pramanit) required at all for the interview?

I really don’t want the trouble of making it.

What!! TimusRagud here was the one who told me that.:frowning:
Sorry for the misinformation guys.

Yes, the relationship certificate is an important requirement. If it is in Nepali, translate it into English.

From what I have found out from the Embassy of the United States Kathmandu web site, Relationship certificate doesn’t seem to be a compulsory document.

this is an extract from the site:

(Though they are not necessary, many students also choose to bring letters of recommendation, certificates showing oustanding achievements in sports or academics, property statements, evidence of family relationships or other documents they think will help to explain their intentions in the United States, their ability to afford the school they have chosen or their reasons for returning to Nepal.)

Has anyone here decided to go to an interview without this paper?

nope(10 Chars)
