i have a list of about eight schools that i’m definitely applying to, but i want to apply to about 12-13 and i need another safety.

@retro: so that 12-13 + safeties? You might want to tone it down a bit…

So far I’m definitely applying to Pace University, and CUNY City college

I’m looking at St francis college, SUNY Oneonta, and maybe Sage… I’m only applying to like 6 schools…

@retrohippo Lol, my list is like that long too… o.O

You too Lesley, I think i told you this already…

I’ll eliminate some schools when I visit them… :p

When you gonna visit? In the summer? Wait? Is it possible to visit colleges campus in the summer even though there would barely be anyone there?

Wesleyan, Brown, Hamilton, Colgate, Bowdoin, Bates I’m thinking about going ED at wesleyan!

@Descuff- I’ve visited colleges in both the summer and during the school year and have found that visiting during the school year put things into better perspective for me. I visited the same college in the summer and fall and I enjoyed my visit a lot more during the school year. I got to see what the campus was really like, sat in on a class, and ate lunch with a couple of freshman. I got to see the dorm living and how students interact with one another. It was better.

I plan on applying to Barnard ED, NYU, Eugene Lang College at The New School University, Emerson College, Quinnipiac University, St John’s University, UCONN, Pace University, Marymount Manhattan College, and Central CT State Univ.

Yayyyyyy college

Updated list. Princeton SCEA, Wellesley, Harvard, Uchicago, Bryn mawr, Upenn, Dartmouth, Yale Amherst, Mount Holyoke, Middlebury, Brown, Northwestern, lafayette. In order of preference. Will attend the one with the best FA.

Nope, Descuff, my list is going to be about 13 schools with about 3 safeties in there. Thanks for your concern though!

I feel like 13’s not that big a list because I’m applying to quite a few reaches, so I’ll have 3 safeties, 3 matches and then all the reaches I love :)

i also have around 13 schools…planning on focusing on stanford and seeing how that goes!

If Princeton SCEA accepts then I’m done. Otherwise

Williams, Dartmouth, Stanford
Uchicago
MIT
Harvard,Yale
Northwestern
UVM

James Madison, Quinnipiac, or Alabama rollltideeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Updated list in order of preference…

MIT EA.
Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Brown, Georgetown, Boston College, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Northwestern… And then my safeties/matches…

If I get into MIT EA though, I’m pretty much done afterwards… Although I’d still apply to maybe HYC in case financial aid doesn’t work out at MIT…

right now I’m thinking…
Columbia or Princeton EA (will choose after i visit!)

Harvard
Yale
UC Berkeley
UCLA

My stats are so mediocre compared to you guys.

Is it bad then when I made my initial list I had around 40 schools? lol…I’m trying to narrow it down but its hard without visiting them.
