few guys who scored abt 2100 weren't satisfied wid there scores!!

WOW.. i would be dancing around wid such scores!!.>>>

@ puredreams09: I would have been satisfied wid my 2100 if I were willing to pay
$10000 or more or if I were an exceptional candidate from all aspects...but since the case is not so, I wil sit for DEC SAT as well..hope to improve by at least 50 points.

@jimmorission: that "map" question is one of the four options..in total I ve to write 3 supplements....and I m sure I wll avoid that option!

Hey guys, "Does somebody know how to create an alternate account in Common APP?". I got my information wrong just after i creaate an account.So,please help me.Updating is not possible-they said.I know it affects a lot in admission.

And for Personal essay , i am looking for my life incident.............i have already got the plot and theme is already prepared.But i don't know how to start....first think then write or first write then think.........and i don know to use literary words.........how can i do so.......

@i will be in IB
r u applying to Gettysburg?

@i will be in IB
whats ur stats man n r u applying oto Gettysburg?

@I will be in IB,
I am not too sure but how about making a Commonapp account with a different E-mail add.
Even if you have submitted some parts of your application via the old account your app will not be reviewed until all the application components are submitted.So, your old account will not be a problem(I think so!) and above that your name is spelt incorrectly in your old account.. so the old account does not belong to "the real you",It belongs to sb else((at least the Adcoms think so..))........The sad part is that you should fill it all over again....

BUT, I am not 100% sure about that....

Can we send the essay and common app online like on the 13th even if the dealine is 15th NOvember???
And how much is the average pay here???

And about personal essays, yes try to make it very simple. I read few essays that worked for Duke..and they were just too simple (in terms of the words and sentences).

How about writing a poem for the essay? (the poem makes the entire personal essay) Can that be done?

Sure, you can be as creative or as conservative as you like with the personal essay

Actually I found that the opposite was true ( if you are not planning to go to Netherlands and not do things that people there USUALLY do: I hope you understand what I mean).
I cant quote the sources here ( i forgot) but the conclusion that two research project reached was that the United States Of America was not RELATIVELY safe for international students compared to European countries and Canada. Please confirm it if you want to. Thats for the security reason.
As for scholarship I agree that no other place is as generous as SOME American colleges and universities. In some European countries the tuition is free (Germany is one, I think). However countries like Denmark have a low tuition fee and living expense and the quality is considered to be of high standard ( may not be equivalent to that of Princeton's but I think many don't expect themselves to get that quality even in USA; I certainly don't) You will not get to work in the summer like in the US but with less financial burden I don't think many would like to work ( cleaning the toilet or washing the utensils or serving food is certainly not a thing that I enjoy doing and I hope its true for other fellow Nepalese here in CC).
Read this (Universities in Denmark)

Bachelor Degree Programs in Denmark

At undergraduate level, three types of degrees are offered at different types of institutions – each with well-defined profiles and qualities. This gives the international students a great variety of study options depending on their interest; be they mainly research-oriented or of a more professional and applied character.

*3-year bachelor degree programs in all academic fields offered by the research universities.
*3-4 year professional bachelor programs in field such as business, engineering, it nursing, education and social work offered by university colleges and higher education colleges. These institutions have a professional focus and combine theoretical studies with applied research and practical application in many different fields. Some are placed in the larger cities, others in more tranquil surroundings in smaller towns.
*2-year academy profession degrees in fields such as business, technology, multimedia, food industry, tourism etc offered by Academies of Professional Higher Education. They are fairly newly established mergers of smaller institutions with very strong linkages with the regional business and industry.

This post is getting longer and I have so many things to share. Maybe sometime later
I however don't want to discourage you all from applying to US; all that I am saying is that there are countries where there are opportunities available to us and we should look at those as well.

never thought of denmark..
but i have already given toefl.. and dont wanna give IELTS.. lets see

denmark not a bad choice i think. i will search for it?

@ sharad1
Universities in Denmark currently accept TOEFL as well but some universities make Danish language mandatory for one or two years.
You learn a new language (an additional advantage if you consider so) :-]

I think this particular instance will serve as a glimmer of hope for the upcoming flood of rejections and waitlistings..

One guy from BNKS (who took a break of 4 years after his A levels) applied to around 15 colleges(I forgot the name of colleges...1 was Kenyon and others were similar colls)....he was rejected from Kenyon..many other colleges watilisted or rejected him except one....that exception was Stanford!!!
So dont lose hope till the last minute!!
