Class of 2013 from Nepal

I too need colleges with good financial aid...
And, I mentioned that I can afford 2K for my education(parental support).Is that too less?? Should I change it?? Need help.....How to be on the safe side while still securing a good place for a dazzling aid (If possible)??

And Emergency expense.... what to do for that??

2k is less i guess! but i hvae heard ppl getting scholarship paying 2k or even less.. you need 2 be VERY LUCKY for that + your resume must be very strong

2 k is fine i guess. It doesnt really matter how much u fill in unless its like a 30 K or sth like that

Hello, BNKS12, it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help solve another member's problem, or just join a conversation?

Lets have a conversation .............

^^^okie.. we r looking for good safety colleges!!
can u help out?

i completely agree with what explicit had said "2 k is fine i guess. It doesn't really matter how much u fill in unless its like a 30 K or sth like that"
Universities are not begging for thousands of dollars,instead they are in search of those students who can give them in return ,yes in return not now...............so i don't think whether u write 2K or 30K ,matters the same for universities awarding need based aid.

@puredreams09
Cornell College...........its good but u have to be ready to pay at least 14 or 15 ,000$.So what do u think its safety or safety with risk.

@mitscholar
U r right on a sense that safeties wud provide aid.Certainly if u think of safeties , u need to be ready to pay at least above 10K and that's what i see.

@everyone
questions in COF
what do u do for traveling expense, emergency expenses.........
i simply wrote summer job or on campus job if possible and no for "no" answer.
Don't worry for that small deal.

Did anyone from Nepal get into Macalester or Colby last yr ?

as far i heard that no one has entered to Macalaster since last 3 yrs and two stds got into colby last yr one in ED(malpi) and one in RD.since supplement of Mclaster is too lengthy to write ,very rare stds wud apply there for limited seats of int'l stds.

Is there any college named Widney or sth like that???

@ all the A level students,
How many people from Nepal must have gotten straight As?
BNKS, RBS, Malpi, Chelsea, KIng's college, and soo on.

i've heard of whitman (widney!!...sounds like Whitney..LOL)

@cui buno
it may be either Wittenburg University or Widener University.

hey guys- could u suggest me? i hav already written my personal essay. its about my determination and fortitude. but jus now a topic pop out of my mind. its about my dog Zany which has the greatest impact in my life. through her i get a better understandin of the differences in world n my respect n tolerance for others have increased. which one is better?

a essay abt a dog will be unique but there is a big question of how well u can write abt the topic!!
try writing the new essay, give it to a few guys n ask them abt their opinions, and u can decide. i think that'll b the best.!

is it for RD?

@hotncool
Its best idea writing abt dog and i think its difficult to write also.How humans are penetrated by the feelings of animals -is it ur theme or any way humorous can u create about it.U say the impact -but + ve impact wud be very much crucial and if u can write abt -ve impact , i know its difficult but outstanding it will be.Nice topic though.
By the way where r u ED-ing and where will u do for Rd/
where r u from -SXC or BNKs?

@puredreams
its for ED man. deadline is very near

@taubeta pi
the impact is that while parenting her, i get to know the view point of my parents. my horizon of thoughts widen. i realize that we r not always right and things should not always b as we should it be. there r differences in opinion and i began to respect the difference coz i would hav same opinion if i was in other person's shoes. it gave me a better sense of understanding of others n blah blah.

i am applying ED to Gettysburg and i m not from any reputed colleges.

hey guys??? how's everything?????? how is the ED thing going????

@ i forgot who replied to my post and Im lazy to scroll back...

Safety Colleges
(Im not implying they are "safety" safeties ..Just that I have seen many people get into these schools. So they could work out as safeties.)
-St Johns college( NM or MD)
(However, you shouldn't even think about these schools if you dont like reading books)
-Caldwell College
I cant remember the names of other colleges exactly, but you will find some with a bit of research. If you are from BNKS, just look at the 700/0 College Placements in the sebsonline portal...that will probably help you..

I hate to repeat this...BUT everyone who has PMed me...Whitman does NOT have an ED option for international students if you need financial aid.......................

@BNKS
ya that's true.....one's own safety may not be other's safety-as far as St.John's -it has its own rigorous curricula and u need hard practice to read books as i heard---last yr though some seniors applied to St John's only a few got aid-but there was one who was rained with too much aid .similar was the case for COE college

Caldwell-frankly speaking is like a safety but u need to be ready to pay at least 10K for comprehensive cost of 1 year , i say comprehensive cost not the total cost of attendance.

all things same dude-Wheaton,St.Lawrence,Lawrence,occidental,macalester,Whitman,,,,,,,,,,,,i say most of the colleges even top tier one does not encourage int'l stds to apply ED if they wish to be considered for financial aids and institution based scholarships.
