Class of 2013: Officially the worst class ever. Period.

Looking at the new posts there is some hope that this class doesn't suck that hard. Obviously, they will never be able to measure up to the glorious Class of 2012.

Good luck, scrubs! =P

P.S. I must admit that I'm a little bit happy about the fact that nobody has mentioned that school in New Jersey, Princetown (sp?), as his or her dream school yet!

Hey, I'm also in the class of 2013 but am planning on moving to the UK! Haha I don't belong here, do I? :p

No no, you're welcome here :)!

@Rister: Haha, yeah :D. Both of us stand united in our anti-poppedcollarness (yay for improvisation of words! :D).

Don't worry about the '13'. I was born on Thirteenth of the sixth month of Nepalese Calendar, and I am glad how my life has shaped up.

Be happy for no reasons. :)

You guys will do great, believe me. International students are important part of US education, so each of you have a place. You might not get into your dream school(s), like me, but you can sure rock at the place you get into. Believing in yourself is the key to success.

P.S.: Tetris, I learn new words from your posts most of the times. Why don't you send your improvised words to oxford dictionary team. :D

LOL really? Like what? :D

I'm considering Brown and Wellesley for my ED. And I'm class 2013 too, from VN.

It's really hard to choose Safety as well as reach college lol

But it's easy to choose two ED schools, eh?

Hey, she said she's considering them for ED, not choosing

Then she should have said "Brown OR Wellesley"

:</p>

Agreed, the syntax was awry.

S33D, stop picking on them, will u?

Seriously its good that you 'scrubs' have BIG college dreams, but you all need to consider your FINANCIAL SITUATION before you begin sending out applications to Ivy's and other prestigious liberal arts schools. You don't want to get into a school that your family can't afford and which doesn't give substantial aid. BE SMART, but I don't need to tell all you prospective MIT students that, and two use threads like these to get info on good safety schools. There are some real knowledgeable people here ..... @sammyone congrats on the MIT admiss . where are you from ?

Yeah, safety = Caltech. whistles

Anyway, I'm a '13er who has already finished with the damned process, so I'm kinda half in-half out of the admissions boat. Feel free to email me if you guys have any questions. :)

ok sammyone omg im so sorry sir

oh, I'm so sorry to make some confusion to all you guys. But I really love vWell and Brown :) though the school lifes between these school are quite different.

BTW, we can only ED 1 SCHOOL. But I think I will choose Well because if I choose Brown for ED, my app won't be considered for RD :(

so? this "because if I choose Brown for ED, my app won't be considered for RD" doesn't make ANY sense. :S

applying ED when you have other important RD decisions is stupid anyway.

I'm class of 2013 too! USC is a dream! hopefully an achievable dream, but also applying to Brown, Colombia and UCLA or UCI not sure yet!
Just want the stupid applications to come out!
Anyone else from aussieland?

Hey beeish, USC is not too hard to get into if you don't need financial aid. And yay, another Brown fan! :D

yeah I like their whole "make your own major" thing sounds pretty cool :D
the thing is i badly need finaid, except that technically i'm a citizen, cause my mom was born in the US and i have a passport, report of birth abroad etc so I am eligible...

Well I have no idea about their domestic admissions policies then :D.

But the good news for you is that Brown and a lot of other schools are need-blind towards Americans (ie. they don't take your fin need into consideration while deciding to admit/reject you) while they aren't necessarily need-blind towards internationals. So that's something good that you've got going over there :).
