Ummmm, people, let’s not jump the gun here. Let’s not congratulate “all” the people who made the cut until we actually KNOW what the cutoff is in Ohio. Thanks!

Mea culpa. :)

Congratulations to everyone in Ohio at 215 or above who can now have a great Labor Day weekend.

That’s better! Thanks! It’s important to make it clear that 215 is NOT the cutoff. Let’s celebrate all the kids who make the cut. But it’s too soon to know who they all are.

@yokis Would MS be in that third section for National Achievement?? Does anyone know??

MS is in Region 3. See page 9

I live in Kansas. E-mailed the Principal this morning. He said that at least as of last night they had not received it. He said he even talked to the other principals in the district and none had received it. He said he too is anxiously awaiting its arrival Promises to notify everyone as soon as its received.

To the person who sent me a private message from Kansas, I don’t have enough posts to send confidential messages, but I will for sure post when I find out anything.

Don’t know the cutoff, but my homeschooled son is a NMSF with a 212 in Michigan.

National Commended is 203? Whew, I’m just above that. At least this is a consolation for doing poorly on the PSATs.

yangmaster
203ish is not doing poorly. You are likely in the top 3%. You may not get “automatic money” that some colleges offer to NM Finalists but you will have a very good shot at many merit based scholarships that many colleges offer. Dont beat yourself up kid. You did well.

yangmaster: 203 is solid. great job!

Mail is here at the school in Texas
This is probably not much help, but My son is a semi finalist with a 230

Did the mail indicate the cutoff? Somebody said the school mail would.

You can feel free to edit the list yourself. Or simply post your information and rely on others to edit it in.

** * If you have been notified that you are NMSF, post your score (and your state) if it is lower than the score already posted for your state. It will then become the lowest known qualifying score and be indicated as “<=”.

If you have reliable knowledge of what the qualifying score for your state is (try asking whoever notifies you!), post it here, too. It will become the definitive cut-off score for your state indicated by “=”.

Finally, if you know that you did not qualify and had a reasonably high score, it can also be useful to post your score as an example of the highest non-qualifying score. This can be indicated by “>=” **

Please note: Be conscientious as you post scores on this thread–it would be crushing to be led to believe you have made the cutoff by a post but actually haven’t. But everyone should be tolerant of mistakes, too. This is an unofficial source of information derived from a collaborative process and is not, therefore, guaranteed.

West Virginia <209 per administration

^ are they saying 209 and higher?

Thanks in advance!

Actually, last year’s cutoff was 200 and highest ever was 206 so we are assuming 209 (and probably lower) is NMSF.
