Congratulations to those who got in.

Jujubean? Any word?

I wish I could celebrate with everyone else. I was denied.
Hopefully, I get accepted into my second choice, Mount Holyoke.

Oh, Jujubean, I’m sorry to hear that. Although it may be difficult to accept right now, these things often happen for the best. You are going to find an amazing educational experience elsewhere, and you’re going to blossom in ways you cannot imagine. You will find the college that’s right for you.

Thank you so much Momwaitingfornew! I feel the same way. Although I really REALLY wanted to attend Smith, I applied to other colleges that I would be happy to attend. :)

Jujubean, I’m sorry to hear that. A friend of mine, a Smith alumna, has a daughter who was accepted at both Smith and Mount Holyoke; she chose Mount Holyoke and has been supremely happy there. I hope Mount Holyoke works out for you, but I’m sure you’re the kind of person who will take advantage of all the excellent opportunities college offers no matter where you go. Good luck to you! Let us know what happens.

I got in! However, one of the documents I submitted for financial aid was apparently incomplete so I don’t know about my financial aid status yet. I want to celebrate but I’m terrified I won’t end up getting a financial aid package that would allow me to attend.

CarolynB, thanks! I’ll definitely make the most of my college experience… where ever I go.

You guys here at college confidential are extremely thoughtful and nice. :)
