Our D applied ED1 and was accepted - we are all thrilled. Loved the school and they have been lovely to deal with so far. 30 ACT 4.05 GPA garnered a $13k scholarship.
We are in Texas.

@takestoomuchtime - I’m surprised you didn’t get a friendly vibe. We’ve been there twice now and had the opposite experience. Everyone was very friendly, students and staff. We’ve also had nothing but great interactions with staff on the phone IRT financial aid.

My wife knows someone who graduated from UPS a few years ago. She did say that by the time you are a Sr. you pretty much know everyone in all of your classes. This can be good and bad. You may get sick of someone and it’s hard to avoid them. On the plus side you make a lot of close friends, and you never want for study buddies.

Regarding greek life, we talked to a few kids about it. They seem very well integrated into student life and I didn’t get the impression that there is any division.

The question seems kind of odd to me, how would sororities cause division anyway? If your kid’s not into it, they will find plenty of other social activities won’t they? That’s how it is at most schools.

We also found UPS people to be very friendly. UPS actually is pretty big for a LAC–2600, vs many LACs under 2000. Also, unlike many LACs which are in small towns, UPS is in a large metro area, so plenty do to off campus if one is getting bored–Seattle, mountains, coast, Tacoma itself. We did not get the impression that frats/sororities are a big deal, something that is there is you want to take part.

Accepted as transfer!! Whoo Hoo! I’ve been waiting so long for a reply!

Congratulations cm!!

any thoughts about Puget Sound vs Santa Clara - w/ relations to business major???
