Congrats to your D collegeshopping!

Congratulations collegeshopping! I am sure it feels great to be done with all the stress!!

Thanks everybody, and good luck to all hearing about ED soon.

Thanks everyone. It really has been an exciting time and I can’t wait to read about everyone else. I wish this process could be happy across the board, but I guess that would not be life. GOOD LUCK to EVERYONE!!!

My son got his first acceptance today. He’ll need much financial aid to go there but we have some hope…

Indiana University - Bloomington…Now he has to complete his music application and see if the music school requests an interview. This is not his first choice, but he would be thrilled to go if his first choice were to fall through…

PS: I never knew people started getting acceptances so early…times have changed…

Congrats to all those already accepted…

Congrats everyone!

My D just received her first acceptance, to Whittier College, and is thrilled because it includes a nice merit scholarship! :)

Congrats to AtomicGirls S and Summergirlsmom!

I love these EA and rolling schools.

I was accepted to Tulane (Honor College and a 25K Presidential Scholarship) and University of Minnesota --Twin Cities (Honor College) during the first week of November.

Congrats to all!!!

Congratulations to everyone. Keep the good news coming.

D was accepted to Amherst with a full scholarship. Feels almost to good to believe. Somebody pinch me!!

Amherst decisions aren’t out yet? Or was it a LL?

I don’t know what a LL is but she was matched with Amherst through the Questbridge program. They were notified on Dec. 1st. Thank you Questbridge!

Congrats CBirdly!

Congrats to WDITY’s D!

Just received a letter from U of Minnesota that I was awarded the Gold National Scholarship for OOS student (Covers the full difference between resident and non-resident tuition rates each year for 4 years) and the
Sig Hagen Scholarship for NY resident.

Wow, so much good news! Congrats to all!

Big congrats all around! And Whatdiditellyou, no pinch from me! That is awesome!

Exciting times for these kids!

I am stunned, amazed, humbled and proud to find that at 5:50 pm, S got accepted to NU and at 6 pm, D got accepted to Wellesley. Now they’re off to burn their other essays!

It takes a village, as another Wellesley alum is known to say, and with that in mind I’d like to thank CC members for their sage advice, counsel and expertise. Thank you, thank you. You know who you are :-).

I’d particularly like to call out xiggi, who gave me some great numeric insight behind the scenes; JHS, who gave me advice about a situation I wound up not needing but it was great advice nonetheless, and in particular Hanna. Hanna served as an essay consultant and did a fabulous job, establishing great rapport with my twins, helping them see the unique stories that they had within themselves (one essay was quirky and the other was downright risky) while never crossing any kind of line or putting words in their mouths. I would recommend her services to anyone so inclined – she worked directly with them and I think they grew in the process by thinking more rigorously about how to communicate. She also talked me down on occasion when I read about too many superhuman kids on CC and got scared.

I also have made some great cyberfriends here and appreciate that too.

And the fact that we are done in December is nice too.

Good luck to all!

Congrats, pgirl! That’s wonderful news from wonderful schools.

And I know you’ll never visit cc again, right? Bwhahahahahahaha. You’re as addicted as the rest of us.

I can stop any time I like. Haha.
