hey guys! i figured its time to start a thread discussing ea/regular decision! post anything, it'd be nice if we could get a discussion going :)

Is anyone applying to GeorgetownQ?

I’m applying RD to the college. It’ll be fun getting to know you guys through this thread. I’m looking forward to it!

i think im going to apply to georgetown ea! ahh im so nervous!!

Anyone else applying to the SFS ea? Money aside, it is definitely my number 1!

me too! have you guys started working on essays yet?

I’m applying EA to the college. I’m having the hardest time getting in touch with my interviewer though.

I’m applying EA to the college as well but I’ve barely started my essays. xD
I had my interview two days ago and I think it went really well!! My interviewer was so nice.

Anyone else submit personal data form over the summer and not contacted yet for interview? All of my EA apps will be officially done next weekend :D

is it bad that i just completed my personal data form online on saturday? I didn’t know that that was used to schedule interviews before your ea applications were sent in…!!!

@constantki: what was the interview like? was it pretty laid back/casual? and did they just ask questions like why you want to go to georgetown, etc. etc.?

I’m applying to the SFS EA too. I had my interview about a week ago- it was at a Starbucks, and pretty casual. My interviewer was laid back and never tried to trip me up. He asked me questions about my extracurriculars, current course load, and why I’m interested in the SFS.

I’m applying to the school of business. I just had my interview and my application is complete. Now it becomes a waiting game. Does anyone know if Georgetown’s acceptance letter comes in a large envelope or a small envelope?

I’m applying to SFS EA. Haven’t gotten contacted about an interview though.

I think Georgetown’s acceptance comes in a small envelope.

I think I’m applying EA, but I’ve been recently by my counselor told that there is no point in applying early because I have no chance.

oh @Recoveringhobo, you always have a chance! do you have any “hooks” that make you stand out?

And I heard that the envelope comes in a regular business-sized envelope too… which will be even more nerve-wracking to open!

None. I’m just your average overrepresented student. Georgetown used to be my number one choice, but I don’t think thats the case anymore. I’m thinking of EDing somewhere where it will make a difference.

Hey guys… I’m applying EA to Georgetown… I submitted part I Personal Data form in the summer, and I haven’t been contacted yet for an interview either… I called the admissions and they said not to worry, I would be contacted soon.

I feel like I’m the average, if not below average Georgetown applicant too (mid 90’s average, medium course rigor, 1420 SAT, ECs that keep you busy nearly every day but no “hooks”). Sometimes I feel I’m wasting my time, but I still have a little hope my essays will stand out.
