For my essay I wrote about Manny Pacquiao advising him on his political aspirations :)

Hi does anyone know if they will send us the decision through mail or email or both?

I think email first and then mail

Will they also post the decision on the application portal?

They email decisions?

"Thank you for applying to Claremont McKenna College as an Early Decision candidate. Your admission decision will be available on our CMC Application Portal at 5:01 pm Pacific Standard Time on Thursday, December 15, 2011.

A copy of your decision letter will also be sent to your mailing address.

Sincerely,
The CMC Office of Admission"

ta-da! takes a bow XD

Haha thanks romanticninja! Does anyone know how many people applied ED I?

304… 20% more than last yr

Out of how many applicants?

Just kidding. Read that incorrectly

Oh god. Where did you read that number?

lol where did those numbers come from?

I went to nytimes.com and saw a chart with data of early applicants. I saw the 304 as the number of early applicants for Pomona, not CMC.

I called the admission office and the front lady told me a few weeks ago

Ugh. Does this hopefully mean that they’ll admit more ED or that there’ll be a lower ED acceptance rate?

[Colleges Where Applying Early Decision Helps - US News and World Report](http://www.usnews.com/education/best-colleges/right-school/timeline/articles/2009/09/30/colleges-where-applying-early-decision-helps)

This is from 2009, they received more applications for ED then and the acceptance rate was still 27%

Well I think that 316 is the number of ED applicants for both ED I and ED II. Currently there’s 304 for just round I so that’s much more applications.

Do you know how many people they admit ED1?

Does that matter anymore? Decisions come out in four days. Knowing how many people applied will only make you more nervous. Lets just wait…

Do you think the mail might come earlier? Or probably after dec 15?

I think the official paper decision (mail) will come after Dec 15.
