Class of 2016 members who want to transfer

@Demodogjr Your high school record is strong, which will work in your favor since high school record still carries a considerable amount of weight as a sophomore transfer. As for your college GPA, you will unfortunately be competing with people who have GPAs of 3.8 or above, and probably the same SAT score. Your GPA would mark you a borderline student, so your essays and extracurricular activities will significantly matter. Just do better next semester; aim for straight A’s. Most colleges require a midterm report, so they’ll see your improvement. I think you have a great chance at NYU.

@Newtocollege No, the schools you listed are not out of your reach, considering your strong high school record and your good college GPA. You should consider applying to Georgetown. I am studying political science and economy as well and my college GPA is a 3.75. My ACT score is a 30, but my high school GPA is atrociously low.
