Class of 2016 members who want to transfer

I am applying next year (for a junior year) for economics, transferring from CC in Indiana. My dream school is UCB, but I know I’ll barely have a chance of getting in…
Other options are: Boston University (top choice), Boston College, University of San Francisco, USC and UCLA (almost 0 chance for both), and researching others

HS GPA: 3.52 (my first 2 years of HS were in Russia, where I come from)
Positive trend in grades (freshman - 2 C’s, then mostly A’s, and senior year - 3 B’s, 9 A’s)

Fall 2012 CC GPA: 3.7 (one B came from high school dual credit, second B - 89%)
I hope to get straight A’s later on.

In Ivy Tech CC (sounds fancy, but it is not an Ivy school or something lol)

major: Liberal Arts with Honors

Just got in American Honors program, will take 3 honors courses next semester + rigorous curriculum

SAT: 1750 (took it my first spring in the US 1.5 years ago, definitely will have a higher score now, working on it and will re-take it)

Not many EC’s… I didn’t use chances in HS. There were no clubs or anything in my Russian HS. When I came here for my junior year it took time to adapt, and I didn’t know how the college system works, and that it is important to do EC’s, and I didn’t have a car :frowning: Now I’m in CC with no tennis team (I play tennis) and only a few clubs (like an African-American club where I do not belong).

What do you guys think? I am desperate to hear opinions!!
Hope we all get in the universities of our dreams :)
