***Class of 2016 NMSF/NMF Qualifying Scores

And my GC said she’d checked with the principal to make sure she was allowed to call and tell me.

Actually, I freaked her out a little bit, because she’d apparently had the letter laying on her desk when my E-mail popped up “Just wondering when we might hear about PSAT/NMSF results…” ;

@amandab97, a 219 is a great score even if it doesn’t make the cutoff. There are lots of merit opportunities out there for students with good scores and grades. My older D was a NMF but ended up going to her dream school that gave her a great scholarship for scores and grades, not NMF. Keep working hard and good things will come.

Since our school won’t be notifying until next week, would anyone who has already received the NM package, care to share the essay prompt?

Anything new on Illinois? Our gc is not available!

218 is good enough in Illinois. Also heard – third hand-- that 217 makes it in Illinois.

any other NMSF in WA?

Michigan results, anyone?

@wabell we’re still waiting in WA with a 219, but losing hope as it looks like most states are going up…

@jklinge we’re in the same boat here:(

I saw MS was listed as 209, but there were several states lower than that, so I am thinking the actual cutoff is lower than 209 for MS because historically we always have one of the lower scores to qualify. Has anyone qualified with a score in MS lower than 209?

This is not terribly useful information, but 224 qualifies in Alaska…confirmation from guidance counselor.

210 makes it in Missouri. No idea if cutoff is lower.

Still don’t know what the MD cutoff is, but I found out via DCUrbanMomsandDads that 41 made it from our son’s school. That makes it pretty likely he made it with a 224.

That’s good info, @mstomper. Glad that thread yielded some useful info. Please keep everyone here posted as you learn more.

These are all CONFIRMED Qualifying Scores from the official September 2015 NMSQ Guide

Where did you get this!!!

I won’t ask any questions on how you got that list.

I will ask…can you give a link to the guide with these qualifying scores? Thanks for posting.

DC Urban Moms has a partial listing of the number of SFs from a significant number of schools. My daughter’s Northern Virginia school had 15 in 2013 and 10 in 2014, but only 7 this year. The rest of the state must be catching up to Northern Virginia which may be increasing the cutoff

WHERE IS THIS LIST FROM???I want to know of it is official
