And my GC said she’d checked with the principal to make sure she was allowed to call and tell me.
Actually, I freaked her out a little bit, because she’d apparently had the letter laying on her desk when my E-mail popped up “Just wondering when we might hear about PSAT/NMSF results…” ;
@amandab97, a 219 is a great score even if it doesn’t make the cutoff. There are lots of merit opportunities out there for students with good scores and grades. My older D was a NMF but ended up going to her dream school that gave her a great scholarship for scores and grades, not NMF. Keep working hard and good things will come.
I saw MS was listed as 209, but there were several states lower than that, so I am thinking the actual cutoff is lower than 209 for MS because historically we always have one of the lower scores to qualify. Has anyone qualified with a score in MS lower than 209?
Still don’t know what the MD cutoff is, but I found out via DCUrbanMomsandDads that 41 made it from our son’s school. That makes it pretty likely he made it with a 224.
DC Urban Moms has a partial listing of the number of SFs from a significant number of schools. My daughter’s Northern Virginia school had 15 in 2013 and 10 in 2014, but only 7 this year. The rest of the state must be catching up to Northern Virginia which may be increasing the cutoff
