Bump 10char

Bumpity bumpity bump

ACT score and GPA are fine

From what I can see, your most glaring weakness is a lack of a big EC focus or “theme.”

You have listed:

French
Chemistry
Environmental stuff
Frisbee
Habitat for Humanity
Orchestra
Museum volunteer

Most admissions officers like each applicant to have a theme of sorts, so that they can use it to describe the applicant when they make decisions in committees. Something like “The extremely dedicated Francophile” or “That person who absolutely loves the museum”

What I am saying is you should focus on ONE of your EC’s and play up how much it means to you, how passionate and dedicated you are about it. I would definitely suggest doing so in your essay.

Right now, I look at what you have posted and think, “I really have no idea who this person is, you have so much going on and no emphasis on any one of them.” I would tentatively say focusing on your museum work would be best because you do say in passing that you are “very committed” to that particular EC.

Hope this helps!
