I am going to start the RD decision thread because today is the day that my daughter's status changed to 'Decision Reached' !!!!! Nail biting from this point on waiting for the mail.

She was Rolled to Regular Decision for Dodge College Creative Producing and pretty much everyone knows that this is her dream school. She obviously is not the strongest application they received this year, but I know that she is one of the most enthusiastic. Unfortunately she is a little shy and did not show the love as aggressively as she could have - gentle prodding from Mom probably made things worse :)

^coralbrook…I have been following you as you and your D wait for the decision. When I saw that her status changed, I checked the status for my D, but it is still pending. My D did not apply to Dodge, so I assume a different admission specialist is assigned. I am anxious for the decision from Chapman because I know that my D really wants to be accepted since she knows several people who have already committed there. I sincerely doubt that she will attend if accepted unless they give a lot of $$, which I don’t expect given that she was deferred from EA. I hope your D’s dream comes true…soon! Let us know.

I think we will have to wait for awhile because they will update to ‘Decision Mailed’ as they start printing, stuffing and mailing. So that is the next status we are waiting for!

This is the big one for her, she has been working on Chapman since Junior year and invested a lot of time in her application for their Summer Film Academy. Even then she didn’t have the stellar GPA stats but she was accepted for that program.

^ I don’t think they change the status to “Decision Mailed”. They note that after it’s been changed to decision made, it takes a few days to put it in the mail but nothing about mailing. I could be wrong though.

Yeah, my kid’s status went to “Decision Reached” on a Monday in February, and then the acceptance packet arrived by US mail 5 days later. He checked recently and it STILL just says “Decision Reached.”

I do so wish more schools would just post WHAT decision was reached online, once they’ve made that decision…

Sorry if this isn’t the right thread, but since I couldn’t find one for EA (except for Dodge, but I applied to the regular college) decisions should I just post my stats here? Idk if it really makes a difference between EA and RD so…

@coralbrook yeah, that was the one I found, but it was only for those applying to the film school, so I’m just not sure where to post. It just doesn’t look like there’s a thread for non-Dodge EA students…

My daughter applied for early decision and was rolled to regular decision with a request for Fall grades. Her status changed to “Decision Reached” as of 3/9/13. I think we are both going to go crazy waiting for the mail. We are both hoping to hear something by Friday 3/15. This is so stressful!

^ Jacary mine too exact same thing. Decision reached Saturday the 9th. We know it should be in the mail this week. I swear I’ve been reading old cc threads like tea leaves hoping to get a sense of how this all works.

Yes, my status also says “Decision Reached” as of 3/4. I am super anxious. Though, I applied as a dance major, and they told me they would notify me by march 17… that might just be for dance majors but we should receive them very soon. Still trying to interpret the meaning behind “Decision Reached”… lol

My D received an email from Chapman today letting her know that decisions are hitting the mail tomorrow. Not sure if that means all of them will be sent out by tomorrow, or if that is the earliest that they will be sent out. Her status is still “decision pending”

Someone called and was told their decision went in the mail on Monday…
I live nearby and still nothing. ):
I got ‘decision reached’ on the ninth.
