My son just got his letter today. He was offered $48,000.00 over 4 years! This offer takes the pressure off our shoulders.
He can now pay the deposit!

I have the 44,000 dollar award as well. The reason it is so high is because it is basically an OOS waiver. If you are in-state and getting the Provost or whatever else you are still in a better boat than OOS students with the Knight’s Achievement are.

I have a question, was the National Hispanic scholarship based on your grades or was it just what they give to all Scholars? I’m not National Hispanic but from what I’ve heard, you guys get approximately the same amount as National Achievement (which I am).

I think it is based solely on National Hispanic, but I could be wrong. I think they have some standards for National Hispanics, Merit Finalists (they get more money), but don’t know about National Achievement, but I assume it will be the same.

Well, I know they do have a scholarship for National Achievement. I just wish it’s somewhere around what Demure got, but I’m not getting my hopes up. X) There could be variables or something.

Just received the Pegasus Silver in the mail today! 10,000 over four years (instate). Still weighing all my options, but I’m super happy! I thought I wasn’t getting anything, so there’s still hope for those waiting. 1910 SAT, 4.7 GPA.

@ adomolly…who did you email about the scholarship and what did you ask them? I’m still hoping I could get some scholarship money…every little bit helps! Thanks!

@ lottastrikes…Did your son ever email someone about scholarship money? If so, what happened? I’m still hoping for a few dollars. Thanks!

Yes, we called. They said that for merit aid, it’s all about your scores. This surprised me only because according to what’s posted on Collegeboard, my son’s scores are above average. I guess just not high enough. I would think you would have heard by now if a scholarship was coming. :(

@ lottastrikes…Thanks for getting back with me. Can you tell me who you spoke to and what number you called??? Thanks!

I got a 30 on the ACT and a 1980 SAT…but I only have a 3.5 GPA

I saw that aares got scholarship money for a 1910 SAT… but of course her GPA was way high

I’m going to call and try anyway…won’t hurt

Thanks for the info!

I believe he emailed scholarships@ucf.edu. Good luck.
