Class of 2018 Carnegie Mellon RD Discussion

I think we should have a support group.

wait! i was on twitter and someone said they got a rejection letter from cmu… so maybe tomorrow isn’t completely rejection letter day?

What is priority wait list ?

How can the kid that lives 3 houses away get his decision yesterday and NO letter at my house. Is this a civil service issue?

Means you’re on a slightly higher-weighted wait list than a regular. I think it’s money-binding
Basically you’re expected to deposit to CMU if you choose to be on the priority waitlist and get an offer, but you could choose to not attend, losing that deposit.

This is gonna be one long day for me and my Mom. Had to call her from Mailbox Tues and Wednesday - nothing… Ugh …

Accepted to DC, MCS, and the science and humanities scholars program! From what I’ve read and heard, the scholars program seems like the perfect fit for me! Is anyone else planning to join this program?

Anyone get his/her mails today yet? When I come back from school, I’ll find out…

Is the rejection letter and acceptance letter the same size?

@Collegeisfunn no, the acceptance letter is the “fat” big envelope, and all others are small white envelope.

@viphan Thanks! So we can tell by the first look… I don’t like that lol

Guys I’m so nervous…
My cousin got his acceptance yesterday and he lives in Maryland.

I live in Canada so idk if there’s a different day for international applicants?

Did anyone who got admitted received a regular envelop?

GUYS! I got accepted today, I’m from MA! There’s still hope! :)

@malkovichio - hey! So it turns out my town’s post office is usually 1-2 days late with the mail (according to my bus driver whom I trust) and I came home to my FAT letter. I hope all works out for you! Remember, whether you got in or not, you are special and beautiful in your own way. So chin up, you’re fantastic!! :)

waitlisted - is there any chance if your waitlisted… :(

Waitlisted at SCS and denied from Dietrich. I have a question: does Carnegie Mellon offer all waitlisted applicants the priority waitlist option? Either way, I’m probably not gonna accept a spot on the waitlist because it’ll probably be too much of a hassle.

rejected. T_T came in small envelope

@hfeiruwnhwg - where are you located?

nyc
