Class Of 2018 : ED applicants

I also have no outstanding charge !

Hello! I am from California and applied ED I to Bryn Mawr. I am having problems with the Moodle account, it will not let me put in my email address as well as change my name because it is misspelled.

Also, is anyone aware of how they will be notifying us of our admissions decision? The website does not seem to give this information.

I currently do not have anything under the “financial aid” category on the student center, I am not sure what kind of sign this is. Fingers crossed, hoping for the best for all of us!

My finance section still says “You have no financial aid awards available for viewing in this aid year.” Augh! I never realized how impatient I was!

@caitthegreat same here!! when do you think we will hear?

I have no idea. For some reason, December 15 was the notification date in my head, but I think that I just pulled that out of thin air, because there’s no evidence anywhere. Most other schools have sent out their notifications by now. My best friend got her Wellesley acceptance yesterday, and other friends have gotten their acceptances or rejections. I just hope Bryn Mawr follows suit!

I found Dec. 15th somewhere on their website but it took me a while to find it! For some reason I think they will push that date back though :sob:

There were lots of Common App problems, maybe they’re extending it so they can process applications that had issues?

how did everyone stack up with SAT // GPA? just curious to see who else decided to apply ED :)

I also heard the 15th. Haverford already has theirs. As for HOW we will find out; from my looking at the posts from last year, you get an email telling you about changes to your account then you log in and it pops up the answer.

@laurpeets My most recent go at the SAT I got a 2030. My GPA is around a 3.75, but I skipped a grade so I could get into more challenging classes. My GPA for age-level classes is a 4.0

@ russgirl
I’m from the Ukraine but now live in New York! I came to U.S when i was about 6 or so :)

@caitthegreat
you skipped a grade? I’m so jealous! You do stand up to your username then!

@Brklyn Ha, thanks! I wish I had done it earlier, really. I skipped junior year, so I kind of had to go turbo on all my college stuff and taking tests.

Wow I feel so inferior compared to you two. I’m just a girl from NJ! I mean my scores and grades are high, I’m president of my speech and debate club, GSA, school literary magazine… Taking 12 classes at a school that has 8 a day…but nothing like being from the Ukraine or skipping a grade!
I really starting to worry, this is the school I’ve wanted to go to since I was 12!

Hi guys! I’m also from NY. My school doesn’t do GPA on a 4.0 scale, but my average is a 93.18 (it was lower freshman/sophomore year though, both semesters junior year it was a 94.5), and I got a 28 on the ACT. I also thought it would be December 15th, and all my friends have got their decisions already! I really can’t stand the thought of waiting anther week, and I’m really hoping to have my decision soon because Friday is “wear your college gear” day at my school. Ugh I just wish they would tell us already :(

Last year I doubled up on physics and AP Biology so I hope that helps me out :/

@declaimer13 Don’t feel inferior! It truly isn’t that big of a deal. I’m not in very many extracurriculars, just band, Girl Scouts, and Academic Decathlon, and I’m not a leader for any of those. My biggest claim to fame is running the sound board.

@claire96 I know what you mean! It’s so frustrating to be the last one to hear.

Point of fact, I’m from Texas and have lived here my entire life.

My parents are being horrible about the whole situation grumbling that the school was the wrong choice just because the decisions are a little late…
And now they’re saying I won’t get in. They’re super intense and I can’t take the pressure anymore.
I really hope I get in so I can prove them wrong and reach my dream school.

That really sucks. My parents are trying to get me to stop stressing. They’re not too thrilled that my top choices are all out of state, though. I’ve gotten a lot of, “But UT Austin is a great school, and it’s closer to home!”

I really hope we all get in, y’all sound amazing and I’d love to get to know you guys as freshwomen!

Anyone else considering staying up till midnight just incase the decisions are on the 15th?
(Some schools set them to automatically send out the day of admissions. Long shot, but I’m too nervous to sleep anyway)

I’m going to be up anyway, so might as well. Nothing like an unhealthy obsession to pass the time!
