Class of 2019 FA Change Discussion

okay so I checked mine again and found something interesting. The NYULocal blog post attached a photo showing the change as saying
“2016 New York University No Self-Service Access for this aid year”

whereas mine says
“2016 New York University No Financial Aid Data Available”

has anyone else gotten this difference?

@SoulOverBody‌ I have the same thing as you check my post above. Mine says No financial Aid Data Available. No clue what it means.

Wait I just discovered something. Under financial aid summary is says

Financial Aid:
Aid Year: 2016
Institution: New York University
Aid Year Description: No financial aid data available.

But under accept/decline financial aid it says

Financial Aid:
Aid Year: 2016
Institution: New York University
Aid Year Description: award access not available.

Whats does this mean?

@arield hm mine is the same. So I guess that just means we have the change.

@SoulOverBody‌ I thought the change is when it says “No self-service access for this aid year.”

@arield checked ED forum and most described their change to “award access not available” however, many strongly emphasized that this change does not mean anything, especially since the Albert maintenance check.

@SoulOverBody‌ did they mention if the year was shown? Some people have 2016 while others don’t. I have 2016 no award access.

@yoshi24 Yes, it’s the year that indicates the “change”.

@SoulOverBody‌ thanks for clearing that up! I am kinda panicking about the housing rumor. Is there any truth to that? I got the FA but I have nonrenewable undergrad…do you know the outcome of the applicants who had both the FA change and Nonrenewable Undergrad? Or do you think it’s an glitch on the housing page?

@Yoshi24‌ honestly I think it’s another glitch BC many would refresh and it would change every now and a few minutes. At this point, I would rather chill out with these rumors, since the Albert maintenance check was supposedly to help eliminate any possible indicators.

How do we know the maintenance check was suppose to eliminate the indicators? Who said?

@anonye‌ we just assumed. Once Albert went down for maintenance and everyone who had the change no longer had it the next day.
