NYU FA Change Disclosure Thread - Class of 2018

This year, we're hearing more about financial aid message changes. Last year, there seemed to be a strong correlation between accepted students and whether their financial aid message in Albert changed.

To check your financial aid message:
1. Log into Albert.
2. Under the "Financial Aid" tab, click "Financial Aid Summary".
3. Post the message (e.g. "Award access unavailable", "2015 No self-service for access this year")

Please Post
-Main campus choice
-Admission plan (ED1/ED2/RD)
-Financial aid message
-If known, date of change (or an approximation)
-GPA (please note if it is unweighted/weighted)
-SAT/ACT

(Yes, I know there is more to you than your GPA and test score, but just for simplicity...)

After Decision, please post:
-Main campus choice
-Admission plan (ED1/ED2/RD)
-Financial aid message
-Decision!

@Marinozai same hope we get in

@Marinozai please tell what is the probable meaning of my FA

I have message for 2015 No-self service acess
For this aid year. What is that mean? Accept or no

We have all reached the conclusion that the FA message does not mean anything, and that everyone’s FA message will change to “2015 No-self service…” eventually. Do not worry about it.

Hey, I’m Diana! I applied to Gallatin.

-NYC
-ED1
-Financial Aid Message: 2015: No self-service access for this aid year.
-GPA 3.5 UW 4.1 W
-ACT 29

Good luck! Less than a week!!!

Quick questions, does anyone know of anyone’s FA changing and then not getting accepted? It would be interesting to see…
