Hi! Since there wasn’t one already…I thought I would start it. Is anyone else having trouble with the portal with things not showing up as delivered when they were sent with plenty of time?
I had the same problem but the items I was missing started showing up this week. I think they are just taking their time processing all the applications.
Did anyone get the email today for the estimated decision date?
Yeah, I got it today
My son received it too.
DD got one also. Last year for my other D, you could check your portal on that day and some of them had been updated, but not all. I do kind of remember it updating late in the evening, though.
Logged into my S MYSanDiego portal today, and new tab appeared. FinAid tab in upper left corner. When I click on there multiple tabs open with FAFSA information, academic standing and etc. Anyone else have this new tab? Status still says Complete-Ready for review. Thanks.
I have that too, but don’t really know when it appeared or if it wasn’t there before. Maybe it shows
up when they load in your fafsa?
I don’t have it… But also didn’t fill out a FAFSA. T minus 11 days til decisions are up!
@jbourne, Could be. Submitted the FAFSA for my son about a month ago. I checked on Monday and that tab wasn’t there. My question, since they sent email announcing decisions out beginning next week, maybe they are getting ready for those they have accepted? My son applied in November of last year. Any one else notice the new tab on their profile?
My guess is the financial aid tab just shows up as FAFSAs get picked up by the computer. They
probably run a program every day (or weekly, I don’t know) that checks the FAFSA database for any new ones that say USD and load them in. Or maybe they are sent a file periodically. From looking at last years notes,
the first decisions were on Feb 25 via portal but no merit or financial aid data came out for a week or two after you got your decision. There was also an 'oops" last year where all the 1st decisions said you wre invited to
join the honors program, but that was taken down the next day as a ‘mistake’.
Also, it definitely looks like they have updated their Net Price Calculator for merit awards so maybe it
will be more accurate this year. Does anyone know if the GPA they are asking for is unweighted or
weighted? It says a 4.0 scale, so maybe that means unweighted.
I have a phone interview this Friday, so most likely I will hear back until March. Cannot wait. Nervous for the interview :-S
Does anyone know the possible time decisions will be posted on February 23rd?
