I’ve already been accepted to Howard and given a capstone scholarship but the deadline of me to accept is April 1st and I don’t hear back from other schools until that day (I.e. Stanford). I love both schools but ultimately want to make the best financial aid decision for me and my family. Have you guys ever heard of them giving extensions for the contract even a week or so would help.

Got acceptance letter yesterday! My first of the 21 schools I applied to 
The are offering me the Legacy Scholarship.
Idk if you remember, but exactly or ≈ when in March did Howard give you your scholarship? @kjfdlhs
No worries they are still handing scholarships out I got a notification saying that I was being considered for Legacy Scholarship even though I got accepted in December
See, my SAT score is 70pts off from Legacy & if I take the March test scores wont come back until April so idk if April would be waaay too late to get a scholarship from HU. :-L ugh
I’m re-taking the ACT this April for a better ACT score for a different scholarship. They moved the scholarship acceptance day back until May 1st. I would go for it, it can’t hurt to try @damondretheg
Anybody else eligible for a scholarship but haven’t heard anything yet? I checked Bison Web a while ago and my application listed my old 25 ACT score instead of my 26 (which is the minimum score required for Legacy, I think). I e-mailed them about it in January but haven’t heard anything back. I’m worried because I can only go to HU if I get this full tuition. Ugh.
@elldee I’m exactly in the same position as you. I got accepted a few weeks back but I still haven’t heard anything regarding the scholarships. Maybe their resources are exhausted?!! I don’t know what we should do.
Im late lol But yeah I decided to do the SAT again. Gotta do what I gotta do to make it to the Mecca. I refuse to give up when I’m that close! hah @rpugh96

@lovebutt96 they haven’t exhausted the funds yet, you still have time. I would call the office everyday until they give you an answer, from what I heard you have to be persistent with the A-building
@rpugh96 @elidee @lovebutt96 ironically the same thing happened to me! I got a 25 and 2 26s and Howard messed up my paperwork so I called them about 4 times before they did anything about it. After that they place up BACK under scholarship consideration. Then they sent me an email stating that I was being considered for legacy scholarship TWICE. So hopefully I get it and hopeful you all do too. On the emails I get they say that notifications will be sent out in MARCH!!!

Scholarship money is based upon availability. You most certainly can/should retake tests if your score is not where you want it to be. Just keep in mind that money does eventually run out.
