Congratulations Middkids 2020! Very exciting indeed. My advice? Enjoy your moment… and make your hotel reservations for September orientation pronto
@lr4550 Any advice on how to not go crazy with anticipation over the next few months?
@mbhopeful20 All the usual stuff- embrace the rest of your senior year, focus on the things that really interest you in your classes, have fun with your friends, make the most of your remaining time in HS, and give yourself permission to stop obsessing about colleges. This process is so intense… transitioning from a college applicant to a college freshman is an adjustment. But you’ll get used to it pretty quickly (my daughter certainly did)!
After a while… like in a few months… check out the classes offered and familiarize yourself with the different distribution requirements etc. Middlebury doesn’t send out housing forms and freshman seminar selections etc. until July so be prepared for a loooong wait. Also they are changing their AP credit policy so be sure to check that out if you are planning to take a bunch of AP tests in the spring. You might want to save $$ by picking and choosing the tests to take based on their new policy.
Finally, Middlebury encourages a gap year so if that is a consideration for you be sure to give it lots of thought as there are many students who take advantage of it. I am sure the admissions office can connect you to students who have gone this route in the past.
Again, congrats on your acceptance and welcome to a pretty awesome community.
Accepted!! I can’t wait. Congrats and good luck to everyone
@angstyaristotle YO KID ALSO ACCEPTED, this study buddy thing may happen after all!!!
Hey! I was also accepted ED to Midd and am so excited! I have two questions:
- Has anyone tried to set up their email account because I have been unable to do so thus far.
- Also, I applied to be a Feb and will be in the class of 2020.5 and was wondering if anyone else was accepted as a Feb and if so, what are your plans for your feb-mester?
@middkidd1234 I just set up my email! You have to wait for them to send you the confirmation email which is about 3 days after you put in the deposit
265 days until we move in guys!
Anyone else having difficulty setting up their email? It won’t accept my ID and PIN.
I am!
