@lkg4answers thank you for the updates!
@educatormom congratulations! Thank you for creating account and posting!
This is what Compass blog has. My DD (TX) has 222 so we are safe. Does this mean it’s confirmed SI for what Art posted?
September 2, 2019 Update:
The late mailing of notifications and the Labor Day weekend has meant for few updates. The pace will increase steadily this week. So far there are no surprises.
IN <= 220
NC <= 221
NM <= 218
TX <= 222
@mavian from reading his post I think the numbers mean that someone has emailed him or posted that their child has been confirmed to be a NMSF with those numbers. It does not yet mean that a lower number couldn’t be the cut off. There is still hope I think for those with 221 in TX.
From Art’s blog, “As states are recorded below, the <=, =, and > signs will be used to indicate what we know about the cutoffs. For example, a parent reported that a 218 qualified in New Mexico. That does not yet mean that 217 did not qualify. So we know the cutoff is less than or equal 218. This is abbreviated as NM <= 218.”
NC 221 according to Compass Prep - yay
Looks like my son missed by one.
UGH - I am so sorry - that really does stink!
not necessarily. you should be mindful of the <= meaning. Read earlier posts here and Art’s explanation.
Right now, we only know what SSI in these states has definitely qualified. ie your child could still qualify if below the numbers listed.
I posted too soon before I read the entire Compass blog updates. I get it now! Thanks!
nswizzle88 - you are exactly right - thanks for clarifying!
ok, so I’m new to this. Are you telling me that the cutoff for Texas is not 222?
We don’t know the TX cut off yet, we are only sure it is less than OR equal to 222 There is still hope for lower than 222 but we know 222 and higher made it.
ok, good. still hope!
221-moms in TX are closely looking. many of us. If we know many people reported to Arts and none is below 222, then maybe we should move on. But I doubt it at this moment.
I’m a 221-mom in IL rooting for the 221-moms in TX, too! Hoping these cutoffs stay the same.
If you don’t mind sharing, what was the score for Georgia?
We homeschool, and I just got a letter for S20.
NY <= 223
I know this information isn’t really useful, as the final cutoff will be VERY likely lower. The most important part is that the letters have made it to NY. I assume the cutoffs for all the states will be known very soon.
Good luck to all of you who are waiting and whose children are close to the expected cutoffs.
BTW We had his spring SAT scores sent directly to NMSC in anticipation of him becoming NMSF. Is it correct to assume that his score will find his way to his fall application?
Yes, if you sent the scores they will have them but you can call and double check after 9/11 just to make sure.
