Oh my goodness – the waiting is killing us for California…
@mathKids congrats to your boy! Can I ask what part of NY you are in?
Qualifying SI in OH is <= 220 per my DS20’s principal. She made it!!!
Congratulations @Cheeringsection !! Still waiting here in Texas.
@Cheeringsection Thank you! My son has a 220 SI in OH also and we hadn’t heard yet!
@rileygrl
We live in the NYC metropolitan area.
Congratulations @Cheeringsection and @Chelseamom
Congratulations @Cheeringsection! We’re waiting here in MA…girl got 224. Hard to wait!
Congrats @Cheeringsection and @Chelseamom !
How many times has everyone else refreshed this page today? I’m going to get carpal tunnel in my refresh finger. ?
Thank you all! So glad to have heard but Dorian has caused all those great scholarships in FL to be of no interest to my DD20, so a bit sad about that. ? ?
congratulation @Cheeringsection and @chelsea15mom!
@brentwoodmom every 30 minutes or so… I’m at work LOL. We haven’t heard from HS yet. I know my daughter made the cut but I’ve been checking for my friend’s kid with 221 SI.
We keep refreshing here and on Art’s page, too. Although my dd20 is pretty safe, we are hoping the cutoff for CA either stays the same or goes down a point to take the pressure off my younger dd21 who will take the PSAT this October. Not holding our breath for going down a point, but really hoping it doesn’t go up.
ANY NEWS FOR TENNESSEE? I HOPE THE NEWS IS BETTER THAN IT WAS FOR THE VOLS ON SATURDAY!!!
Art’s Update
IL <= 223

NM <= 218
OH <= 220
TX <= 222
VA <= 222
Praying for NY to stay at 221…
Being from AZ, I had thought about this and did some research since my son is interested in UF. Gainsville (UF) and Orlando (UCF) are in the top 10 “safest” hurricane cities in Florida and have a hurricane rating of 0 and a scale of 0-20. The source is a compilation of NOAA weather information and insurance data going back to 1965. Since both cities are inland, they don’t see the same intensity as the coastal cities.
Latest from Art:
Just received news that 222 made NMSF in Virginia. That’s important because 1) Virginia has always been a high-scoring state and 2) it’s the first state where we know the cutoff has not gone up. We can now add New York to the list of states that have definitely not gone up to 224. We are now able to move Illinois to no higher than 222.
Keep in mind that we do not know the final cutoffs for any state. We know that the cutoffs can be no higher than the ones listed below.
IL <= 222
IN <= 220
NC <= 221
NM <= 218
NY <= 223
OH <= 220
TX <= 222
VA <= 222
@BMC9670
Fellow AZonian here…did your kiddo take the Oct 10th or 24th test? Mine did the 24th and we just don’t know what to make of where that will put the SI. It seems most of the large districts statewide were all on Fall Break for the 10th test, so hopefully it’s all apples to apples with the majority of test-takers in AZ.
I would like to buy Art Sawyer a margarita! And am so appreciative of everyone on this thread’s honesty, humor, and caring hearts!
Ok, I’m going to go back to refreshing my page now.
