I think it is based on both Students Expected Family Contribution and their academic performance (SAT /ACT and GPA). I know kids who had lower academic performance got higher scholarship amount than kids who did better than them.
Anyone think decisions will come tomorrow?
Admissions decisions are posted on the portal! Accepted instate.
Nothing for me OOS
Nothing for me either in state
not true. He is a new member who has never posted anything. Evil
Haha or she, don’t know why I assumed he
Messing with us
There is always that one joker with a new account who claims to be accepted before everyone else. They have nothing better to do.
Is it not showing up for you guys? And yes, I have things to do, omw to pick up my sister from school and then going to the tumi store at west farms
They are all released at the same time.
Yup
So disappointed rn… I am OOS and on the New England tuition break program. I received the STEM excellence scholarship (normally 20k a year), but it was halved I assume due to the fact that I am “instate”. But, in actuality, I have to pay 175% of instate so it ends up being the same price (approximately) as it would have been if they just gave me 20k off of the normal OOS tuition. Ugh, this whole process is so frustrating…
@Miggyd77 Aren’t you better off with 10 off 23 (13) than 20 off 37 (17)? You will be paying about a thousand less than instate.
@Miggyd77 i wouldn’t be disappointed yet. Decisions aren’t officially released, and you have no clue how the merit in that glitch showed up
@Miggyd77 actually uconn is the only school we found that add merit and New England regional tuition break together at UMASS you have to pick which ever amount is greater. At least you are getting $23,650 off tuition instead of just $20k.
Then what is the point of the tuition break program… it hardly has any significance to my net cost.
Does anyone think admissions can check that we are constantly clicking links on the student portal to try to find out admission quicker?
@olookie It is the same every year. If they don’t want to release information early, block access or better coordinate portal changes.
It’s kinda silly that all the decisions are made but they are just arbitrarily waiting at this point lol
