Just contacts admissions and they said that SAT/ACT scores will not be used for consideration. Hope that helps anyone else reading.
@volleygal: What will be used for consideration besides transcript?
So even if you submitted scores they will not be considered at all? Is this for admissions, honors, merit or all? Thank you!
When I called yesterday AO she mentioned they will consider both Scores , GPA for merit if no scores only GPA , rigor. But again it may be case by case basis.
also mentioned FAFSA need basis wonât come next week thatâs some time in Jan/feb
Daughter logged into portal this morning to see her profile was updated today, 12/9. Her acceptance was 11/25 and has not been updated since until today. After speaking with admissions officer yesterday we learned that honors decisions should be expected one month after regular acceptance and financial aid packages are beginning to be released next week on a rolling basis, those accepted on 11/4 should receive their financial aid info first. Hope this was helpful!
According to the admissions officer I emailed, scores will not be considered for merit or financial aid.
My AO said that scores wonât be considered. I guess everything is up in the air right now and being decided as we speak. To me, I donât think it is fair to use a timed SAT/ACT to determine merit, when other students who were test optional submitted additional supplements instead. It just feels like its not a fair playing field and with everything going on this year, it would be unfair to use scores to determine merit (maybe unless it is outstandingly high).
Not sure. Maybe ECâs? I feel like GPA and course rigor would be the main factors.
So are all decisions now going to be release on Fridayâs only? There were a couple of Wednesdayâs in the mix. Does anyone have any insight into that?
Mine was released late Friday night, end of Nov. I am OOS if that helps and I submitted my app mid-oct.
S submitted his Honors App today. He looked at the app and saw that it was only one 300 word essay. Heâs already written and submitted a âdiversity and inclusionâ essay to several other schools - so he submitted it to U Del today.
@H0llyw00d My daughterâs decision was released on Wednesday 11/25, only because that was the admissions officeâs last working day of that week due to the Thanksgiving holiday being that Thursday. I believe all further decisions should be on Fridays as they have in the past but Iâm not completely sure.
@mom2jerseygirls When did your daughter apply? My D21 applied 10/28 and completed on 10/30.
Mine spoke to someone today who told her she should here this Friday or next. So yes seems itâs on Fridays
Same here, hoping for a scholarship, OOS tuition is expensive!
@H0llyw00d My daughter applied 10/31 and all her required docs/supplements were in by 11/4 (required docs needed to be in by 11/15 to be considered for early action consideration so she was reviewed as an early action applicant). She also applied as a nursing major and I believe it depends on the major you apply for and how quickly the specific college that houses that major processes and reviews your app. My daughter also applied test optional and still saw a relatively quick response from UD so I donât believe applying test optional affects the speed of the application at all. I have seen a lot of College of Health Sciences acceptances for UD so their admissions office may be more on top of applications than other colleges at UD. Hope this helps.
My daughterâs portal is showing an update today as well as yesterday. Has anyone else noticed this for their portal?
Hopefully this means they are getting ready to release MeritâŠ
Same - updated today. But no other changes.
Same. Fingers crossed.
