When did you apply @itwasawedding ? My D applied a few weeks ago…anxious to hear:
ACT: 34
GPA: 4.0 UW/4.55 W
Major: Three Languages/Economics
Good luck to all!
My son applied on 9/27:
ACT:32
GPA:3.7
Major: Sports Management
Wishing everyone the best of luck!
DD sent everything in two weeks ago but just got the email that her application is complete and ready for review last night. The email said 8-12 weeks or more, depending on if they need additional information such as mid year grades. Did everyone else get that email? If so when?
@gcnorth I got a similar email on 2nd of September
Oh wow, I will have to ask my daughter if she got that email. 8 - 12 weeks…seems longer or later than last year. Patience is a virtue I suppose but waiting on these are tough haha.
According to the common data set they started releasing on 11/1 last year. Anyone know whether they release at the end of the day? Has anyone heard yet?
@Mom1997 That’s what I was wondering. Decisions started on the 1st during the last admissions cycle. I’ve been monitoring UDel’s social media and they haven’t posted anything to indicate that they’re sending out decisions. Fingers crossed that they start before the end of the day!
I thought I read somewhere they release at the end of the day but can’t recall where I saw that. Fingers crossed as well. Good luck!
So acceptances are via Portal only or via Portal followed up by a letter? I know each school is different, for instance Rutgers only notifies via their portal from what I understand.
My son also got the email that his application was complete a few weeks ago. So curious if they will start releasing today. I know two other applicants who applied a month ago that did not see any changes to their portal. My son will be checking tonight.
I’m also anxious to find out
SAT: 1340
GPA: 3.9 W (My school doesn’t give us unweighted)
I applied 10/14 I can’t wait to find out.
SAT: 1270
GPA: 4.0
Is my SAT score too low?
I applied on 10/1 and received the email confirming my application on 10/19. I also saw they updated the portal on 11/1 last year so I am anxiously waiting. Does anyone know what we will see on the portal once we are accepted?
@partyprincess What did the email say confirming the application? I got one saying they received the application, and then two more asking for the final parts needed, but once the portal said they had all the information I didn’t receive any other emails. Did I miss something?
@co2018xx About two weeks after everything was received per the portal, DD received an email saying that her application was complete.
Once I completed the application and submitted all required parts I received the email saying my application was complete. This is what the email said:
Dear ___:
I am pleased to inform you that your University of Delaware application is now complete and ready for review. The Admissions Committee will take careful consideration of all your credentials before releasing a decision. Within 8 to 12 weeks, you may receive a decision, or we may request additional information such as mid-year grades.
Don’t forget to check your My Blue Hen Home for application updates. If you have not done so already, log into the portal today using your username and pin ((password already established)) to receive updated information from the Admissions Office, monitor the progress of your application, sign up for special events, and update us on any changes (such as a new e-mail or home address).
@partyprincess I read the thread from last year and it said that they saw streamers and confetti on the site with the acceptance information. I guess that remains to be seen.
I just checked the portal and my major disappeared so hopefully the confetti comes soon.
@partyprincess That likely means that you’re accepted. Some people on last year’s thread talked about how their major disappeared before they received their acceptance.
