Class "Points"

How many class points (similar to "credit hours") does one need to be considered a full time student?

12, so three classes.

Wow, thats not very many, haha.
Do most students take 4 or 5?

After 18 credits, you pay an additional amount of money per point over 18. So most take 4.

So does is the tuition cheaper for students who only take 3 classes (cost per credit hour would be lower, I assume)?

12 to 18 points is considered full-time, and a flat rate tuition applies. You pay about $1200 per point over 18 points in one semester. If you take less than 12 points in a semester, you also pay on a per point basis. But you aren’t considered full-time (which impacts FA and loans).

Yeah, hitmenow is absolutely correct.

Part-time (below 12 credits) students also do not apply for Housing.

Okay, so I can take 3 or 4 classes and just pay the flat rate… and 5+ cost more?

yes, correct.
